That does suck. I wish we could have 2 per sports if we dont have one for another sports, but oh well

Might be a dumb question, but where do I purchase sports team icons? Thanks for the help.

click the little white arrow by VBUCKS and cluck VBUCKS main, then scroll down and youll see the different things you can buy, one of them will say Sports Icon, and have a picture of different balls on it, just click, select what sport, then what team, then click buy

I'm by no means on Old Timer, on Irish Envy at least. I've noodled around and am bright enough [insert disparaging, witty repartee here] to have figured out a number of things. I've stumbled on much of what's available on the site due to simple curiosity and a willingness to dare, dig and probe. There is always more to learn.

Would it be practical to create an "IE 101" that explains all the ins and outs* of the possibilities of the site? A link could be included in every "Welcome to Irish Envy" e-mail sent to new enrollees. A User Manual, as it were.

Explanations, instructions and guidelines for such things as creating custom Avatars, using Personal Messages (PM's), vBucks (and all they can be used for); "Reps," positive or negative, etc., etc.,etc. might save a bit of time, band width and storage.

I thought 4 or 5 years ago there was a FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) Thread. I haven't been able to find it. Maybe with the changes in ownership over the years it got lost.

I've PM Jason Pham with your post.

Reps for the Oracle. (that sounds redundant)

You type in "BGIF" in User Name, enter 10,000 in Donation Amount, enter "Nice Guy" in Donation Reason, and click Purchase.

From what I can tell (I'm new here as well), is the link takes you to the Bank where you can spread the wealth by donating some/all of your cash balance along with a personal note as to why, etc.

I haven't experimented yet due to my low funds, but will do so shortly.

I've also noticed that you can earn 2% on your funds by making deposits to the bank (looks like my next interest payment is tomorrow at 10pm). Don't forget that interest is the eighth wonder of the world... the more you have, the more you make.

Someone is either in the banking industry or teaches it.

GreatDayne I think you are confusing "reps" with "gifts." To give someone a gift, such as cash or a superman icon or clover icon etc, go up to the gold bar and click on vbplaza, then follow the BGIF's directions. To send someone a "rep" either pos. or neg, (which adds either green or red dots under the selected poster's name), click on the icon near the bottom of his info next to the post. It allows to add to person's rep, and you click either "agree" with post, or "disagree," then enter a reason.

YouTube - Soupy Sales - Pookie does Motown

From Wikipedia: "On January 1, 1965, miffed at having to work on the holiday, Sales ended his live broadcast by encouraging his young viewers to tiptoe into their still-sleeping parents' bedrooms and remove those "funny green pieces of paper with pictures of U.S. Presidents" from their pants and pocketbooks. "Put them in an envelope and mail them to me", Soupy instructed the children. "And I'll send you a postcard from Puerto Rico!" He was then hit with a pie. Several days later, a chagrined Soupy announced that money (mostly Monopoly money) was unexpectedly being received in the mail. He explained that he had been joking and announced that the contributions would be donated to charity. As parents' complaints increased, WNEW's management felt compelled to suspend Sales for two weeks. Young viewers picketed Channel 5. The uproar surrounding Sales' suspension increased his popularity. Sales described the incident in his 2001 autobiography Soupy Sez! My Life and Zany Times."
