People who say he should be fired need to have their head examined. I only coached football for a few years but I know enough to know that this loss was not his fault. Have some ****ing patience for once. Too much fortuna in the world to blame every god damn play on the HC. You can't blame a guy for Denard having a player draped on his legs and throwing a ****ing 80-yard pass. You cannot blame him for Rees doing his own ***-backward liberty play that was beyond abefuddling. You can only look at the team's ENTIRE performance and judge it. Turnovers are an issue, I get that. A big one too.

This team has put up 1021 yards of offense in two games. This team's defense also manhandled South Florida and put up a damn fine performance against Michigan until late. Don't lose your head, you look like an idiot in the process.

I am livid as hell, and I live ON OHIO STATE'S CAMPUS taking **** about how Notre Dame isn't relevant or how Notre Dame is a joke or how Notre Dame sucks. YADDA YADDA YADDA.

This isn't 2007, or they'd have been destroyed. This wasn't 2009, this team's defense had a much better performance than that.

I don't think he should be fired now. But you are incorrect. As the leader of the team the performance is his responsibility. Pretty simple. We have just lost to two teams that we were much more talented with. Not really a mark of a great coach. I love Kelly and wanted him as coach. He is digging himself a bad hole, hopefully he can get himself out, and quick. With Urban available he does not have much job security and that's a fact.

What is dillusional? Watch the film again; it wasn't stupid calls on defense, it was just great play after great play. You can't fault Diaco when he has a player hanging on Denard's legs and he still completes the pass. Get real.

I just don't get how you so control a game and then it all goes to crap. 1st half == BCS team. 2nd half == no bowl team. I am seriously confused at this point.

Coach Kelly shouldnt be fired as it is year two, but these two quotes about our defense playing better then the 2009 defense and the program being 10000000000X better is dillusional. I don't know how you can argue otherwise. We gave up 28 pts in the 4th quarter. and 400 + yards to a running back playing QB. But go ahead and keep on being dillusional.

Ohio State is relevant? Seriously? Did they not lose their last 2 championship games against the SEC, bring their record to 0-9? They only have 7 championships, ND has 11.....let em keep talking, look at how they almost got beat by Toledo today.

Things happen, all we can do is support the team. Sounds like to me, the QB needs to start calling some of his own plays on the field instead of running to BK. Look at what Denard Robinson did....took control, and it paid off.

Ohio State... look at how they almost got beat by Toledo today.

No kidding. I pray one day that ND will have a schedule that looks like 1. Akron and 2. Toledo.

It seems like we always need a few games just to get in synch. (As does many other teams, which is why the schedule push-overs in the beginning of the season.)

Sucks to be made fun of every year for supporting ND. I will always support them but it really seems that I am owed some happiness for the energy I put into this. But I know better.

play calling needs some help. first three time he called the roll out play it resulted in 2 picks and an in-completion. 3rd and short running up the middle into the blitzes.

we got some Dayne Crists out there on Defense - great athletes but can't make plays on the ball (harrison smith, gary gray to name a pair)

Yes, I can explain being a referee, it was an errant spot on the 7 yard line instead of the 2 and NO PERSON except the two other High School referrees I was watching the game with caught it as we were yelling, stop the play, stop the play......... The interference call was in the end-zone resulting in the ball on the 2 yard line...... which may have altered the play selection by the coaches.

This is a very important fact.... Once we hit the red zone, we tend to cough it up, unfortunately. 2 games have been lost because of it.

Kelly needs to stress, " Value the football"....."Value the possession"... If you can't do that, how in the hell can you win a ballgame?

Understand, Diaco had his undershorts thrown out on the field on the late uncovered receiver touchdown, but these kids need to value the ball when they have it. Who would have thunk it...Jonas actually hung on to the ball this week.... Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
