Would be interesting to pick the brain of Denbrock on his decision to leave LSU for ND. Is it because he really likes being at ND that much or did he see the BK ship sinking at LSU? Or both?

Most people do not work at a school three separate times under three different coaching regimes, so I would guess more the former than the latter.

He also had a relationship with Freeman and other of our coaches that I’d bet was a pull as well.

Thinking about BK’s comments, I believe he’s using revisionist history. He’s heard the unanimous agreement that BK left ND in a better place than he found it. He got them to relevancy but could never get over the hump of winning a big time post season game. So now it’s easy for him to adopt that as his #1 goal at ND. Despite the fact that we all know he, his staff & his players #1 goal was to win a NC at ND

People like to think well of themselves, especially big chunks of their lives. Pretty normal.

To my ear, the media is generally willing to go along with revisionist histories by almost everyone.
