Allow me to ramble for sec. I think such generalizations are misdirected, in that all are culpable of partaking in the monstrosity that is social media. One might as well drop the proverbial axe on Facebook when camps as to what counts as too personal and too much are the justified differential. With how easily data can be accessed and manipulated, it's all too personal and too much, unless your safeguard is that you are intentionally disguising details with false information (but even then, that's nuts in itself). While clearly, there are vastly different levels of how crazy is expressed, a stone thrown at the insane travels about as far as can be in an enclosed 8'x12' room. It's all on the internet. And it's all crazy.

But yeah, she crazy. He crazy.

Life goes on.

Ughhh no, that is completely different. Publicizing intimate details of your life is much different than tweeting your opinions or participating on a message board.

No one I actually know posts here and no one here (presumably) knows my identity. And even if you did, all you'd know is that I have a reasonably attractive girlfriend. This is a fun distraction, not LiveJournal circa 1999.

But it is silly, pathetic, and partially irresponsible when people go on Facebook and tell every single person they know about how depressed they are, or how they just dumped their cheating boyfriend, or even how much they hate their jobs, etc. Furthermore, this post may come back to haunt her in the future. Employers will know her as a girl that got duped and made a viral post. Not a good look.

Fair enough. However, you don't know anything about our relationship, let alone our actual identities. It's clearly an entirely different scenario than the OP.

I went back and forth deciding whether to post them. But, she didn't care and I know that I judge the hotness of other GFs every time I'm at a bar or in public. Also, who am I to cast a vote for or against Coon's, GATTACA's, or Beau's gf if they can't see mine?
