What annoys me is that they have Quinn on the front page of ESPN, but don't show a single one of Quinn's highlights.

His touchdown was a thing of beauty. Right up the left seam.

I just don't get the whole McCoy thing but I'm sure that has to do with the whole Brady got the raw end of the deal thing here in C-Town. Eric Fatgini and Romeo Crennel should burn in hell forever for the way they screwed that kid up.

I hate going on Browns boards and hearing all this junk on how Brady was just an awful Q. The Browns screwed his transition into the NFL. I hope the same doesn't happen to McCoy.

That said, I'm silly happy that Derek Ander-ception got exposed for what he was. A cannon arm with a 2 cent head. It was beautiful to watch.

There are a million reasons why we Browns fans are so high on McCoy right now. I think the biggest reason is that, at least from what we've seen of him, he looks like a real, live, breathing NFL quarterback, something that hasn't been seen around these parts in quite some time. He's won some huge games for the Browns (Saints, Pats, shoulda been Jets.. stupid Chansi Stuckey fumbling w/in FG range in OT...but i digress) and along the way has shown more accuracy and poise than any Browns QB has shown in the past 10 years. That's why we're excited.

Most likely though, with the Browns luck, McCoy will be hit by Ray Lewis and die on the field, and we will be stuck picking Andrew Luck next year.. and the QB carousel continues...

Colt looked pretty lackluster against the Iggles... And don't give me any song and dance about a dream team. That same team got that a$$ whooped by pitts-puke the week before. Colt looks like he gets scared any time anyone gets within 50 feet of him. Just another long season coming for our Sons of the Cuyahoga.

In right now vs the Ravens

Did well his first drive, TD pass to Bowe called back for a pick by McCluster on the play.

He actually looked pretty solid in the preseason from what I watched. And I remember even hearing rumors that Crennel was debating starting him at one point. I guess they invested so much in to Cassell they went with him. Now its Quinns time to shine. He has help with a solid O line, Charles and Bowe

Finally the man gets a chance. On a related note, I've been noticing more and more ND guys getting playing time in the NFL. I really believe Charlie is to thank for getting us going in the right direction again (I know BQ is a Tyrone recruit). That sort of exposure is bound to help with recruits in the long term. We just need to keep on winning.

He got a chance in Cleveland and was horrible.

It wasn't Cleveland throwing deep balls ten yards out of bounds.

Cleveland royally screwed up his development in terms of transitioning to the pro game. Yeah, Charlie ran a pro-style offense at ND, yadda yadda yadda. But even so, every offense is different, especially considering the jump in game speed.

Also, to your original point about the deep throws, Quinn isn't a QB that's going to throw the ball 10 yards out of bounds every time. He didn't somehow magically forget how to throw an accurate deep ball between ND and the NFL. He just needs a chance to get settled in and get some experience under his belt... which Cleveland and Denver couldn't offer.

He isn't as bad as he's looked in the NFL, but I also think he wasn't as accurate in college as he looked. Quite a few of his deep throws were "jump balls" to Samardzija and Stovall.

Absolutely. I live in KC...I see this first hand all the time. I really hope Quinn steps in and keeps the job, but unfortunately I don't think he will. I think his talent was maximized in Weis' system in college to make him look better than he is. I think he's good enough to be a good backup in the pros, but not really a starter. Certainly not an elite QB you win a Super Bowl with. But then again, the Ravens won a Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer at QB so who knows.

The Chiefs suck and always will as long as Crennel is the coach, Pioli is the GM and the Hunt family owns the team. They're just like the Kaufman family...afraid to spend a few bucks, instead choosing to squeeze money out of a rabid, but misguided and delusional fan base.

watched most of the game last sunday, and Quinn played well, his running game was shut down. he made sharp throws.

the two picks were catchable balls, one was a little behind the TE and got bounced in the air and picked, the other was an on the money slant route that was caught and essentially fumbled which bounced off of the players thigh and was just bad luck.

Unfortunately bad luck seems to follow Quinn since he got into the league. But word is he's now splitting reps with cassel for the job.

Hopefully crennel just gives him the ball, since this season is pretty much lost for the chiefs. And we can see what Brady can do with some decent weapons.

Named the starting QB going forward by Crennell, replacing Matt Cassel. Hope he can finally produce with this opportunity.
