I live like 15 minutes from there. I always go for free!

How?? When I was living in Nashville my buddy and I agreed drunkenly to go every year for three years. Now that I came up to Notre Dame, he's going.

I went there for free a few years ago (worked for the local paper in Nashville). Some good fun, but I stayed in an RV behind the main stages and STILL thought it was too hot and dirty. Maybe if I was mentally prepared to camp out my thoughts would be different...

As for the lineup: Local Natives + Tom Petty + Kendrick Lamar + Passion Pit + The XX = Gonna lament missing it.

im going there this year from North Carolina

Cool man hit me up and I'll buy you a beer. Bonnarroo is an amazing experience. Get excited.

My best day in bonnarroo ever was probably Saturday of 2010.

Saw:
Conan O'Brien
Big Sam's Funky Nation
Norah Jones
Jimmy Cliff (In the pit, 15 yards away from him)
The Avett Brothers
Mumford and Sons
The Dead Weather (Jack White, in the pit)
Weezer
Jeff Beck
Stevie Wonder (In the pit, 15 yards away from him again)
Jay-Z (Same deal, managed somehow to get back in the pit. He put on one of the greatest shows I've ever experienced.)

My view of him was about 10 yards further away than this:

Lol it's pretty much put together by small towns around it, so they usually get tickets with their money. I know a guy who runs the rental shop that helps build some of the smaller stages, as well as the fabric store owner that gives the materials for the stage curtains, and I'm friends with a kid who's dad runs a scrap yard that does business with them too somehow. There are generally tickets to be gotten in the Tullahoma/Manchester area.

Looks like a really good line-up. I like that you separated the comics into another post b/c that caught my eye as well. Bob Saget's stand-up is funny as well as Tosh obviously and Bamford and others.

Not trying to turn this into the music video thread but this band will be there:

This lineup blows Lollapalooza out of the water. Unfortunately, I won't be making it down.

Nod. Great deal! I was there in 2010 for that concert too. Stevie Wonder was a great show. Watched it from those bleachers they have for like, second-string VIP folks, on the main stage. I was watching Deadmau5 that year from the very back though, pretty drunk, amazed at his little cube set-up he had.

I would have loved to have seen DeadMau5 but I was a little tired/dehydrated/drunk.

Jay-Z had one of the best stage set-ups I've ever seen.

(Oh and sorry GB, but Kayne sucked live. Worst thing I've ever seen at bonnaroo.)

I live 20 minutes away but I guess I'm too old for this crap. It looks like a great line-up but I have no desire to go...unless my friend with the RV decides to go. Then I'm willing to "rough it".

Mumford & Sons is at the top of my concert bucket list. They look like they're just incredible to see live.

Death Grips, Wu-Tang, and Swans. 3 of my favorite music groups ever. Easy decision to go, and that's without considering Paul McCartney, AnCo, Grizzly Bear, Kendrick, A$AP, Wilco, Nas, Alt-J, Earl Sweatshirt, KRIT, Bronson, Japandroids, Killer Mike, and Tame Impala.

I just wish Wacklemore and Mumford & Sons weren't going to be there.

And I'm happy they'll be there. I'm going to see Mumford and Sons because they're a good live show for good string instruments. And Macklemore is going to take a lot of people away from other concerts that I actually want to see, thereby making it easy for me to get up front.

Never understood the whole "I hate that they're coming" thing. Just don't go to that stage.
(Heh, Bonnaroo joke. "THAT" stage.)

I don't recognize 8/10's of that lineup.... Getting old is bliss.
