The D gives up too many 3rd downs and scares the crap out of me, but this loss is on the Offense. 5 turnovers.

Clausen is on pace for almost 3300yds passing and 28 TDs. More than I would have guessed this year. With a good running game we'd be insane.

Three... two INTs and that fumble where he tried to sidestep the rusher and the guy just got his hand on the ball... still, for a sophomore... studly.

There were definitely a lot of miscues out there today, but for me, none were bigger than the coaching staff not challenging that first down catch on 3rd and 18. That was definitely a fumble, and if the refs got it right and reversed it, that would've been a HUGE game changer.

How could they possibly not challenge that call?!

Turnovers hurt the D when their having to come back out on the field over and over again. They miss out on some valuable resting periods.

That is why they need to be trained differently. From weights, to conditioning, to diet. SPEED AND POWER. They should be prepared to be on the field all day. And win every battle on every play.

Tired of hearing that the D was on the field too long as an excuse for a loss. A defense could be on the field too long because their offense scores very quickly.

Get rid of that stat.

It's not an excuse, the fact is if your on the field more your not as sharp. Why do you think teams like those long time consuming drives? To wear down Defenses. Get rid of that stat? Thats football! The longer the D is on the field the better off the O is, spare me.
