I lived in Bedford Mass for 7 years. I never met a true BC fan.
NOBODY REALLY CARES ABOUT COLLEGE FOOTBALL UP THERE.

Heres the order of their sports business:

Sox
Pats
Bruins
C's
College hockey
HS hockey
everything else...

As long as you didn't wear any Empire or Jet/Cowboy attire you'll be fine.

Number 1 and number 2 are debatable right now. Some say 3 Super Bowls in 4 years trump 1 World Series. With their current playoff underway, the Sox are probably #1 right now. The Celtics are probably #3 now with the signing of Kevin Garnett and if the Bruins don't have a good season sadly they could be pretty close to irrelevant.

Here's a thought....

That great, great victory of theirs when they beat us in the final second, was handed to them by NBC. At least that's what my brother believes. BC was completely demoralized after Jarious Jackson orchestrated 3 touchdowns in 10 minutes in the 4th quarter. But then, they got a gift from NBC. Seeing dollar signs, NBC called an extra extra long TV timeout. They ran commercial after commercial, knowing the virtually the entire college football world was hanging on BC's last drive.

That gave BC time to shake off their disbelief and pull themselves together. They were able to stave off their panic and retake the field after their nice long breather. NBC killed ND's momentum.

Granted, our defense could have held better. But they probably would have against a panicked BC offense while still riding the confidence of our own offense.

So, what is the point of all this? Just another illustration of how BC isn't nearly as great as they claim to be. Their claim to fame is a long commercial break.

You are probably right being that the Bruins are in the state that they are in right now.
The reason I put da Sox number one is because of the 100 year plus love affair that we have for them.
Yet you are probably right.
Albeit College Football is really not a hot sports item up there. Every once in a while it might get a plug when they do well but Boston is a pro sports area as you will ever see.
