Ok this doesn't have to do with ND football, but I wanted to post it on here for those of you interested. I am working with a new start-up called BlabBubble.com

This is a website that pays its members to share content through their social networking sites. It's a pretty awesome new way to make a little extra money for doing things you already do (assuming you use social media websites).
If you're a small business (or really any sized business) it's a perfect way to launch a new social media campaign.

The site goes live July 16, 2012, but you can sign up now to reserve your spot. It's a really cool new site, so I recommend checking it out and signing up. It's 100% free so you have nothing to lose! Go to BlabBubble.com
Theres more info on the website. If you have any questions, though, I should be able to answer them. Like I said, I've been working with this start-up quite a bit and can get the answers for you.

And for those of you who are leery about these types of websites I can promise you it is NOT a scam. Take a look. Thanks for checking it out

Do you use facebook or twitter? Do you ever post youtube videos, websites, new apps, games, coupons, pictures for your friends and family? It's the exact same thing. Companies pay, just like they do with Google AdWords to share a link to their advertising content. Whether that content be a YouTube video or a Picture or a new app, they pay per click.

So, if you wanted a facebook page to get likes, you could go to this website and then people would share your site for money, creating web traffic and hopefully fans? Am I right that this is how the company would work?

Yes, that is one way you could use it. If you're a company and you want your facebook page to be shared by people across the internet you would sign up, set your budget (so you never spend more than you want to), set a time frame, set some parameters about who you want sharing the content, and then post the link.

Users would then get that link, post it on the internet, and when someone clicks their link (clicks are monitored for click fraud) your company would pay 40 cents. This would continue until your budget is reached or the time frame is met.

It's a way to kickstart a social media campaign with thousands of people posting. Most people wouldn't normally post without incentive...this gives them incentive and helps your company

So as someone who shares this how much money would you get and how would you get the money? Would money be mailed to you, put into a paypal? This looks like very good to me.

It's 20 cents per click. Keep in mind, the clicks are monitored for click fraud so you can't click on your own more than once, etc. But as long as the clicks are legitimate clicks you get paid 20 cents per click.

To get paid you would use Stripe or PayPal. Ideally you would use Stripe. Most new websites are trying to move towards Stripe because it is a much better version of PayPal developed by PayPal founders.

You won't input any payment info on Blabbubble, though. It will all be handled through PayPal or Stripe. From there, you can select how you want to get paid

Are you two Ron Popiel fans? You guys left out this part:

The people at home would probably expect to pay at least $500 for this and it's worth every penny. Well you're not going to pay that today. Your not going to pay $400. Or even $300. That's right with a simple installment of .40 per click the magical Blabbubble service can be all yours!

I post personal pictures and videos. Those come without ads.

... so it's more personalized spam where the spammers get 50% and the person spamming to their friends gets 50%?

In all honesty, the business model seems OK. Its not a terrible idea, even though the vast majority of people won't want to clog up their social network with this type of stuff (I know I unfriend people like its my job if they post anything like an ad or spam). Some people may use it and make some money and generate some money for the companies using the service. But the real point is that I don't think that this board is intended for the purpose of promoting every internet start up idea by an Irish football fan.

I agree that spamming social networks is annoying, and that is why this website chooses links that fit best with the poster. These are not completely random links that make no sense to post, they could be a link to a hilarious YouTube video. This isnt about posting spam or ads, it's about jump starting a viral social media campaign. But I agree that not everyone will see value in this company until it goes live.

And I thought this was an Irish FB board as well, but then I saw a Kate Upton thread, an awesome video thread (which anyone who posted in there is doing exactly what blabbubble is doing just not getting paid for it), a music suggestions thread, etc. So I thought it would be ok to pass along a cool new website that could benefit everyone on here. I apologize if I crossed some line here.

Kate Upton is hot, Ponzi schemes are not.

I know perfectly well what a ponzi scheme is. It just seemed to fit.

It seemed to fit? This is a 100% legitimate business that was built to help people earn some much needed extra cash in their lives by doing things they already do. It's ok to have an opinion on a business, but to attempt to trash the reputation of a young start-up with good intentions for all is absolutely absurd and uncalled for. Because it is young I understand there is some skepticism (as there should be with any and all new companies), but that doesn't mean you should trash the reputation of a new business before understanding the actual business model.

Google AdWords has the same business strategy, is that a Ponzi scheme? Is a paid survey website a Ponzi scheme in your opinion? You do realize that there are legitimate jobs in the world where people are paid for using social networks and posting for companies, right? According to you anyone who works as a social media director or social media manager is a scammer, and that is absolutely 100% false.
