When I was doing my undergrad at ND ('89-'93) you could submit things to the Athletic Department and Lou would sign them. I had him sign a football I gave to my dad on his 62nd birthday. Dad's passed away so I now have it. Good memory of ND and my dad. I would suspect Charlie might do the same thing now if asked.

Unfortunately, my only ND game was last year's Air Force. We got there only about 45 mins before the start because traffic was insane getting into the Academy, so no chance to meet anyone before the game. By the end, it was getting dark, was freezing cold, and we had about an hour drive minus traffic to get back to Denver, so we couldnt stay afterward. However, if I dont go to a game IN South Bend before, I will be at the Wazzu game in my hometown of SA and you'd better believe I'll be there early for that one. Hoepfully will get a few sigs at the game.

I think you can send to the athletic department to get current players autos, I have heard of people doing that for Tommy Z! I think anyone can send them.

I've never been much of an autograph seeker. I don't believe on infringing on their private time. I do have 2 of note however. A Roger Clemens Baseball and a Hershel Walker signed authentic USFL football signed to me during his New Jersey Generals days.

I went back and seen there was a thread already made about autographs. What made me think of this was because I would really like for ND to win a National Championship this year for many reasons but also because I have these autographs on a "Play Like a Champion Today" liscense plate.

Gary Gray
Michael Floyd
Robert Blanton
Jonas Gray
Cierre Wood
Jamoris Slaughter
Braxton Cave
Mike Golic Jr.
Hafis Williams
Deion Walker
Darius Fleming

This would just enhance the meaning of it, for me.

Others on it that are not on the team anymore are

Armando Allen
Robert Hughes
Emeka Nwanko
Kerry Neal
Brian Smith

Possibly more but I don't want to get up and walk in the other room to look at it.

But this thread is pretty old so has anyone else got anymore autographs?

My grandpa gave me his football with the 1949 NC team signatures on it. Frank Leahy, Leon Hart, everyone. He gave it to me when I was a kid. I was probably 7 or 8 years old. I had no idea what he had given me. Well im sure he explained it, but then i forgot about it. After we moved a couple times it got lost in the boxes. I found it again when I was 16. It was like finding the Holy Grail!! Now its sitting in a protective box on a shelf in my bedroom. One day I'll give it to my son. I can't wait until that day.

Carlyle Holiday

My brother attended the basketball camp at Notre Dame back around 2003 and got it. My father says that he thought Holiday was a linebacker.

Allen Pinkett, Tony Rice, Rocket, Lou Holtz, Ara Parseghian, Ty Willingham, and Brian Kelly. I also have Muffet McGraw, Mike Bray, and Ruth Riley of the bball team.

Tony Rice was at the bar in my town in November and it was my birthday, so he bought me a shot and gave me a kiss!

Don't forget about the brunch before the blue/gold game each spring. Great place for autographs.

My most prized autograph is not that of a ND football player. I have a Stairway to Heaven sheet music booklet signed by all four members of Led Zepp.

That would be AMAZING! I have a campaign button signed by Barack Obama, and I also have Muhammad Ali and Sinbad's autograph's but I don't feel like those two count because they are from where I am from and we would see them a lot when I was growingup, so they aren't like a celebrity to me.

Best non-ND autograph - in 1981, my parents pulled me out of school one day to go greet the Dodgers at the airport after they won the World Series. As we were walking back to our car, just standing all by himself with his suitcases was Tommy Lasorda. He talked to me for a long while and signed a jersey and my autograph book. Very nice guy.

Best ND autograph - my Brian Kelly autograph on a Mexican Restaurant menu my friends (SC fans no less) got for me when he was recruiting up in the Pasadena area.

I also had Mike Anello sign a $10 bill for me. It was all I had on me at the time and he is a big finance guy and...well, it's silly, I know, but I like it.

Just got a gift in the mail from Golden Tate who is a good friend of one of my friends. Autographed 23 jersey with a short letter to me. Pretty stoked about that. Also included two auto-graphed rookie cards.

The whole team on a play like a champion poster. Met brian kelly in a liquor store and got his too. I wish I was thinking straight...it would have been on a big bottle of jack.

got a BQ one on a ball with a picture of the 4 Horsemen on it. Also, i was wondering if there was a good way to get autographs from current players in a legal way?

My mother goes to the dental convention in Anahiem every year and always picks me up whoever is there... a couple years ago it was Lasorda... got a bat and a ball from him...

I have nothing ND in terms of autographs, all baseball stuff... though my nephew was sitting next to Eifert on the flight back from the Sun Bowl and got one from him.
