Wow, how about question #1...

Frank asked:
Coach Kelly, I just graduated from ND this past May and like a lot of my classmates would like to know how you plan to recruite the top defensive ends and linebackers that ND has not been able to lure for sometime now. It's obvious our roster lacks the explosion and intensity those SEC caliber players bring

I guess Tuitt, lynch, te'o and co don't meet that "top d-ends and linebackers" category.

vast majority of cfb 'fans' have no clue what is going on in recruiting... question #1 seems to be from that camp because this current class is def. one of the best in the entire country... and could be getting better

This is stupid. It sounds like they are taking questions from preschool kids.

I would love to ask for his honest assessment of the team in an email that I promise not to release to anyone. He's genuine most of the time, but it's obvious he gives significant coach speak, like everyone does. I just want to sit in the coaches meeting and hear the honest to God truth.

This I'd like to know/ 'off the record' of course

I would ask him if he thinks he can recruit the players he needs or is he resigned to the fact that he must offer guys who can pass admissions at Notre Dame. The point being that Notre Dame aspires to be like the great teams of college football again but those great teams are at schools where the governing body could give a %$#@ about the student athlete and his future. Can you compete against the modern 'semi-pro culture' of whats going on out there or is your approach going to be what we all think it is-get the best Notre Dame caliber student and see what you can do with that player. Like everyone I am proud of these guys when they interview and speak ( Notre Dame men thru and thru) but I wonder if its different now for Kelly as opposed to ARA/Devine/Lou in their years. That is something I would really like to know. If it is what I think it is it puts my expectations on a completely different level. My point is that Notre Dame does get a few 4/5 star guys to spice things up but can Notre Dame recruit the balance of the roster that is needed.

I would ask how much longer he will try to work with Crist to make him a spread QB? Or better yet...when will he start? As a bears fan. I don't know who is more painful to watch. Crist or Cutler?

And Cutler looked good this year until tonight...

both teams need work on the O-line. Both teams could use a little better play from their QB, but overall have it pretty good.
