I saw an article on here earlier today about the ten programs that either violate rules / kick kids out or something to that degree.. I was on a friends computer so I don't have the article in my browsing history.. I've spent the last 20 minutes trying to surf through the pages on here to find it but with no luck lol.. can someone post the link in this thread?

then, after it's posted, can Mods delete it? I'm sorry, wouldn't ask but I'm beyond frustrated trying to find it lol.. thanks fellas

Speaking of oversigning: Is Nick Saban opening up a new front in the oversigning wars?

Saban just told a kid who verballed to 'Bama last February that he'd have to wait until 2013 to sign with the Tide. Some quotes from the kid:

Coach Saban said he wished he would’ve been able to tell me this in August instead of now. He said the only reason he can’t sign me is because he can’t sign 26 people. They can only sign 25 people. He said he was going to sign me with the next class. But he also said he would sign a piece of paper to show that they are keeping their word – they are going to sign it and they want me to sign it to make sure I know I still have my scholarship.

He said I’m going to stay in Georgia. They are going to find me a job. I’m going to work. I’m going to physical therapy at least seven days per week. I guess I will work, go to physical therapy and get strong … I will come in with the class of 2013. I’ll get there with the early group so I can do winter workouts and spring football.

Unbelievable. This is part of the reason ND is at such a disadvantage when it comes to recruiting. The Nick Sabans of the world are constantly inventing new ways to circumvent the rules and the NCAA doesn't have the authority or the support to stop it effectively.

The most depressing part isn't even Saban's tactics. That we expect. The most depressing part is that the kid loves it! Absolutely loves it! Unbelievable....

This article has the full interview with the recruit. It's even worse than portrayed in the first article.

“I’m going to go ahead and stick with Alabama. I mean, I’m committed to them. They committed to me. They want me. I know they want me because that’s what they are telling me. If they didn’t want me, they wouldn’t let me keep my scholarship, They could’ve taken it when I first got hurt. If any other college wanted me, they would’ve hit me up. I haven’t really heard from anybody since the injury.”

These recruits are very naive about Saban's loyalty to his players and roster management tactics.

Great news!

Social media and the expanding coverage of recruiting is making these types of coaching shenanigans harder to get away with.

I wish that something could be done to curb this kind of activity but the Nick Sabans of the world will always stay a step ahead of the game, bending whichever rule they can, in order to field more talent than the next guy. College football grows increasingly disgusting each year.
