Ironically, I enjoy playing but I haven’t watched a tennis match since Sampras v Agassi.
I always enjoyed playing growing up but I haven't played it in ages. I got into tennis when Federer and Nadal were forming their major rivalry then got even more interested when Djokovic stormed the scene. Andy Murray even looked poised to join the fold but then injuries derailed his career. It was something else watching the big 3 compete for grand slams.

Djokovic may have some controversies on and off the court in the tennis world, but I've always enjoyed watching his game. So unbelievably talented. But he's 37 now and that whole era will come to an end with his retirement. Plenty of young talent who should be able to carry the torch.

I’m the same way with both tennis and golf—outside of the majors in golf. I’d much rather play them for the most part than watch. I do like the French Open in tennis bc of the clay courts and Wimbledon with the grass surface.

Takes me back to the Olympian-level duels of Frank Sedgman and Pancho Gonzales.

Just as clear as if it was 75 years ago.

That's right. All I can remember is that both of their names were Frank.

Sinner got a get out of jail free card yesterday. Hoping shelton can pull it off tomorrow.

On paper, this seems as good a chance as ever for Shelton to beat Sinner.
Sinner clearly the better player today, just not making any mistakes. Hope Shelton can turn it around but not looking likely. Can't do much against Sinner's serve, and he's so fundamentally sound.
