Meh. haha
Not a sport I can stand watching for 5 minutes on the tube...LOVE playing it though.
What's the count up to on Nadal's butt picks so far?

Pretty dang high, that's for sure. Maybe they could punch up a blur/pixelation in the control room any time they see his left hand headed toward his backside.
I wonder if Jade can get us betting odds on that?
The younger guys should be embarrassed to have allowed Roger, Novak, and Nadal rule the roost for so long. That final yesterday was one for the ages. Not as good as Nadal v Federer in 2008 but it was very good.
Djokovic may finally have a challenger. Or the torch was passed and he becomes the challenger. The US Open should be very interesting.
The match was over as soon as Djokovic missed that desperation lob from Carlos into the net in the fifth set. It was definitely a great match. I can't remember the last time I saw Djokovic have that many unforced errors, but it's really a credit to Alcaraz: he played the style of tennis that Djokovic used for so long: incredible defensive tennis, which frustrates opponents, mixed with aggression at the right moments. He was making it so difficult for Djokovic to hit winners past him, extending volleys and ultimately made less errors than Djokovic, particularly in the 2nd, 3rd and final sets. That final yesterday was one for the ages. Alcaraz just turned 20 in May. He's going to start a run of dominance shortly from the looks of things. He seems to be a combination of some of the recent greats in terms of strengths. The match was over as soon as Djokovic missed that desperation lob from Carlos into the net in the fifth set. His risky uses of the drop shots, especially how deep he was playing, was incredible. I've enjoyed watching Djokovic's dominance, I expect he'll get to 25 majors before he calls it quits, but I think we've just witnessed the beginning of Carlos Alcaraz's reign.
Agree that the US Open is going to be very fun, especially if there's a rematch in the final.
I hope Djokovic can remain elite for another 2 years or so, because I think these two could have quite a rivalry for the forseable future until he hangs up the racket.Alcaraz just turned 20 in May. I didn't think his serve was particularly strong overall even with all the aces. Imagine what his US Open could look like with a more consistent serve.
Agreed. That makes his major and grand slam record even more bewildering considering he's not only had to battle injuries like any other tennis great throughout his career, but he's also overcome non-injury related absences. NOT interested in getting political at all, but especially in 2021-22, it seemed to lack total common sense to not allow a singles tennis player to compete in the most non-contact sport on the planet.Glad that Djokovic gets to compete this year.
I was really impressed with him last night against Tiafoe. I wasn't too familiar with him, but he's got a ton of talent and I think he's going to continue to ascend the ranks, regardless of what happens against Djokovic. he's going to give Djoker all he can handle, though.![]()

Djokovic up next for the 20 year old.
An Alcaraz vs Shelton Final would be outstanding.
Sinner got a get out of jail free card yesterday. Hoping shelton can pull it off tomorrow.Fritz is such a streaky player. Dude looks unbeatable at times when things are going good but just looks like he folds mentally at the first sign of trouble in grand slams.
Looks like he'll make the semi-final after a rough third set and shaky start to the fourth, but he had that match in a strangle hold before slipping up a bit.
Hoping he or Shelton can break through and win a major, but Sinner, Djokovic and Alcaraz will have something to say about it, as always.
Seriously did, huge break for him, but he's been on an unbelievable run the past year and change. I think it will motivate him knowing he didn't play his best and got lucky, and he'll be locked in. Obviously rooting for Shelton, he's an exciting young player, but I'm not getting my hopes up.Sinner got a get out of jail free card yesterday. Hoping shelton can pull it off tomorrow.
Too busy getting jacked up at the Irsay Y to watch tennis, we get it.
On paper, this seems as good a chance as ever for Shelton to beat Sinner.Fritz is such a streaky player. Dude looks unbeatable at times when things are going good but just looks like he folds mentally at the first sign of trouble in grand slams.
