Was his speech that bad? Apparently AJ McCarron's mother thought it was.

To me that game Monday night was the rapists against the murderers. You all may talk about "Auburns" resurgence, and how much better it is post CAM, but it is because everything got "fixed." It ain't gone, it is just covered up. And Gus Malzahn is the fixer! Another thread posts an article which delves into his role in things before he became the head coach. And the same thread has an article by a Professor at FSU about the problems some of their "student-athletes" have had-caused.

For me, the biggest advantage is if ND gets to knock the shit out of some of these dirty schools. I think they may be good enough, and I hope they destroy them.

Slow down Bogs... some people said the same thing last year about Bama and Notre Dame.

She's just racist....

He plays on Alabama! She was not knocking the fact that he sounds uneducated or black, she was knocking the fact that, like Les Miles and Ray Lewis, no one knows what he is talking about.

1. ND doesn't create special classes or degrees for athletes.
2. They are required to attend class.
3. ND may accept a few athletes that don't meet the normal student requirements for admission, but they are normally still higher than most schools.

People can say what they want and maybe we get a little smug at times, but what the hell is wrong with leading the nation in graduation rates with degrees that mean something and weren't handed to them?

Nothing wrong with that. And I have been very vocal on here about educating student athletes. But Bogs comments weren't discussing education.

Really read the other thread and the articles about Auburn and FSU. If I found one athlete acting like that ever, if he were not expelled and prosecuted, I would call the university, and some wealthy donors I know to begin the education process. We are talking Murder, rape, assault and battery, all willfully committed. And then we are talking about members of the football staff following around to clean it up, asking staff and faculty members to break the law and or commit fraud to make it go away.

If anyone can find an instance of ND doing that, please let me know. I will withdraw my fan support for ND and college football immediately. And I doubt that kind of thing is happening at UA either.

Remember, Auburn is the place where the professor was caught giving out between a couple dozen and a hundred undeserved passing grades for football players? I am not talking about that. What I am talking about is willful and criminally serious. By the way, NSaban isn't the only guy we are taking about that has passed through the University of Toledo; that Prof at Auburn that helped the student athletes cheat? He was from the University of Toledo, also!

Until Auburn gets rid of the donor problems down there, they will fight that culture. I do think the AD there is doing a pretty good job of trying to change that culture. And he has worked pretty well on the academic side. I don't think there is that scale of academic fraud there now. Don't know for sure obviously, but gotta think that with the NCAA being in their business for the better part of four years, they must be making some stides in cleaning some things up. And contrary to popular opinion, the Lee Co Sheriff's office is no friend to the university or it's athletes. Maybe back in the day they were - who's local police department hasn't been at some point or another.
