Kinda bums me out that Brady Quinn likely won’t be our guy in ‘28 but these offers are all a clear level better
Imagine being his dad and your son actually becomes a high level D1 prospect but just a tier below ND’s targets under freeman’s standard. Absolutely brutal. He’s probably the first call after the first tier of guys which I’d be totally fine with after Jarard and Monds back to back

Honestly thought after Jarrard and Monds it would be a lower talent level qb for money purposes. Love that we are still pursuing dudes

Also feels like these other offers are partially to push Lawrence to an early decision. Seems like he’s QB1

I believe the perception is the 2028 class is more talented than the 2026 and 2027 class.

Random remarkable nugget: anyone guess the last QB we offered from the state of Texas?

Owen Waffle's high school. I just went back through old profiles because I remembered that school name.
Waffle is the fella who committed but the coaches insisted he shave his sideburns he would not do so so he went somewhere else.

I forgot about Steinbrenner's stint as head coach

This guy should the #1 target at this point imo. OSU is in on a couple other top guys, and PSU never scares me. Also a profile fit (for whatever that means these days).

Like him more than Trey honestly, think the staff thought the gap (if any) with Trey wasn’t large enough to chance waiting around (lol). Probably thought Trey was as much of a lock as it could get based on what the agent / dad were telling them.

PSU has a QB commit and OSU is gonna land Vargas.

Missed Armstrong’s commitment yesterday - interesting take for them. Rivals high on him but doesn’t have the offer list of others.

To me, he doesn’t scan the field as well or deliver as quickly as Trey, but he looks bigger and much more athletic, scrambles well, and still throws a very good ball.

I’d be extremely happy with this kid.
