The sour grapes takes would be pointing out that he’s basically flipped twice in a less than a year, since he was a ND silent commit.

Also we just got outbid it seems like:

Nawrot has only played one season of varsity. I'm wondering if that is why some are hesitant. His offer list seems decent enough but he wasn't playing varsity as a FR or SO and really only has a dozen or so games available of real live action.

I think this is the kid who threw like 50 TDS and only 2 picks or something crazy.

Funny he's from Arlington Heights, so is Israel Abrams who goes to Montini and is verballed to Miami, and 247 has Nawrot ranked ahead of Abrams.

I think he fits the Michigan offense better. Current OC loved running the QB at Utah.

I can be an enormous prick when I want to be. Lopati is simply not a recruit that I'm losing sleep over lol. Good player though and the type of QB Whittingham likes and has done well with in previous years. Not sure how he fits at Michigan per sey, but he almost certainly fits that staff's scheme.

Maybe Lopati proves to be excellent in time, but I don't think Monds, Nawrot or a the possibility of a reclassification is any sizeable downgrade... Especially in the world of the transfer portal, where QBs bounce around rosters and leave so frequently. I'm not worried about ND being able to recruit a quality talent either out of high school or from the transfer portal. That's a position where you can flat out buy a guy if you need one.

Amazing how the view of him has changed since they dropped him ranking after reclassifying. He was a big time get with Top 10 pick upside.

Grubbs was a the time as well. Look at his offer list. He was a fringe top 100 guy when he committed.

We just need to hit on 1 out of 4 guys since Carr. Noah Grubbs, Blake Hebert, Teddy Jarrard, or whoever we sign this year. Worst case scenario we go big game hunting in the transfer portal (probably do this anyway for best grad transfer available). Not that concerned.

You would think so but would've made sense to offer guys like Abrams, Taylor and Borque in the first place instead of being left scrambling thru the class.
