'27 MA QB Peter Bourque

I'm surprised ND like Lopati over him tbh. Maybe they just wanted a guy with mobility
I feel like Bourque is very similar to Teddy Jarrard in play style. It feels like they want to go after a mobile QB for the 2027 class. Just my speculation though.

I'd like to see more consistent intermediate passing out of Bourque. While his WRs aren't anything to write home about, his 63.5% completion rate against "meh" competition is a little bit alarming. I'd like to see that number be up around 70% considering the competition. And it's not just the numbers, I don't see a ton of it on film either.

Loy: “The Irish haven't offered yet, but that could change soon. If they pull the trigger very soon, I'd be shocked if he didn't visit South Bend before making a decision”

Assume how Monds visit goes or not makes this imminent

I think I remember someone last year saying they thought Bourque was close to a lock if they offered which is one of the reasons they had held off for so long.

Interesting if it comes to Monds and Borque. Monds reclassed up - from '28 to '27 - while Borque reclassed back - from '26 to '27. Obviously there are other factors but will be curious to see if they prefer the younger guy or the one who's probably closer to what he'll ultimately be. Also would guess Monds plays better competition in high school.

FWIW, 3 of Bourque's WR's have FBS offers, but the competition he plays is mostly FCS/D2/D3 kids.

Definitely Monds between those two, Borque doesn't move the needle at all.

I'm curious to see how they'll play this one. If they get good vibes from Monds will they still push here?

Is Monds still visiting this weekend or am I imagining things?

A roster with Herbert, Grubbs AND Borque would be interesting to say the least
Sure but that is totally ignoring Teddy, the best prospect of the bunch. Plus I doubt Hebert will be on the roster next year. Bourque is solid and will likely be at worst a great back up. Also like him as a bridge prospect between Teddy and a high level 28 guy (Lawrence, Preyear, Quinn)
