Makes me feel all warm inside. IB thinks Oregon currently leads, but said ND is still in the huntFong says they still have a great chance to get him.
What? lol. Why would you want the bigger guy at end and smaller guy at 3t? Parks may have concerns about playing time because the reality is Folo and Fakatou are both long term interior guys. The only way it makes sense for all three of these guys to come is if Vaughn or Sessay choose to go elsewhere.David Folo is 290 and Faktaou is 260. Any chance they and the staff can convince Folo to play 5T and Fakatou to play 3T?
Then you make another spot for edge Sessay/Vaughn.
Long term, i can see it as a possibility. But him rushing the passer as a 3t…. The issue is folo and fakatou have the same position versatility. Taking 3 good ends is going to have to make one of parks and fakatou question their roleI meant NT/1T and said 5T. My bad. Folo at nose.
My guess is Oregon is offering more money, we want an answer before or during official visit and not sure what the hold up role wise would be about

100%. Just like every OG thinks he is an OT. I am just pointing out that I am not surprised some of these guys are going to question their role considering the potential 6 we want to landFolo is not a NT.
The thing with the game of recruiting is these kids want to be the glamour of one thing and they realistically are another. Fakatou wants to be a DE. Parks wants to be a 3-Tech, not “just” a NT. So that seems to be a hang up/some negative recruiting.
Which sucks because no matter where he goes, he is a true NT type player. Teams will say whatever he wants to hear to get him committed, but Oregon is just as likely to keep him at NT. At least ND is honest about it. He is too short and stocky to be a primary 3T.Folo is not a NT.

The thing is at ND, he wouldn't be a traditional 2 down plug the hole and take on double teams NT/NG.
His quickness and short yardage speed is so good that he would be in the position to get after the QB.
Good point. He's a NT all the way. I hope this potential identity crisis of his ends soon. Also worthy of note that it can be a lot of fun to be even a traditional NG if your surrounding DL and LB rooms are really talented. When the guard has to consistently leave early, it's quickly just you and some finesse center who the most likely to be a "weak link" on any given OL.
Precisely, your supporting cast can literally uplift you or hold you back. Playing with LBs flying all over the place and DL tearing off the edge and penetrating the gaps would make it so much easier for him to get after the QB.Also worthy of note that it can be a lot of fun to be even a traditional NG if your surrounding DL and LB rooms are really talented. If it is true that he's leaning to Oregon but everyone around him wants ND and for that he's leaning ND, I don't have a good feeling about how it all ends up in the end. These guys need to want to be here. The money and everything else can work itself out, but Brayden is hesitant and wants something else, I'd just assume let it be and move onto the next guy.My guess is Oregon is offering more money, we want an answer before or during official visit and not sure what the hold up role wise would be about
Get what you’re saying, but ND is not at the point of giving up on players or Parks caliber…yet. If it is true that he's leaning to Oregon but everyone around him wants ND and for that he's leaning ND, I don't have a good feeling about how it all ends up in the end. Agreed. It ultimately comes down to him wanting to choose ND and being in that position to thrive. That has to come from within. The parents typically love ND. This is also Chris Zorich's godson. He's a south side Chicago Catholic school recruit. There is undoubtedly pressure on him.Get what you’re saying, but ND is not at the point of giving up on players or Parks caliber…yet.
There’s been plenty of guys who were on the fence, chose ND, and then thrived while embracing the University.
Fong'ed to the good guys
That's the first player I thought of too (along with the Mosley brothers).I'm pretty surprised. This just seemed like one of those recruitments that despite every connection, ND wasn't gonna come out on top. I got Anthony Barr vibes.
Still think we get Fakatou too. I'm probably dreaming.Vaughn, parks, sesay, Folorunsho, O’Neil is a fucking nuts DL class hahahah
