Called ND his “dream school” and it would seem Miami and ND are a notch above anyone else. They’re also his last two visits and he seems like a very impressionable kid.

Enjoyed his time and meeting Partridge and seeing how he would be used in the defense which was described as 3T and big end.

My own opinion, I think he ends up at ND. I think he’s enjoying the process and schools are throwing big money around and it’s enticing but a lot to sort though.
No intel. But i think Partridge could be what wins this. His coaching chops and player development are huge here. “I know what those schools are offering you now. Oh i got a call ‘Deforest Buckner? Nice to hear from you. I just got off the phone with Trey Hendrickson”…

He also stated that NDs NIL offer is very comparable to his other top choices and he has no concerns about that

You don’t overspend on Lopati so you can spend it on a kid like this. Let’s make it happen.

IB believes the "highest bidder" rumor is not true and that Folorunsho told the staff that it will not be the deciding factor; the media is simply running with things. Him saying the ND offer is comparable probably means it is close enough for it come down to the schools itself.

Can you clarify things:
  • Where is the highest bidder rumor?
  • Where is the offer being comparable from?

If Notre Dame is right on page for pay I don't see how they lose out this one. Notre Dame has the bigger exposure, better brand, better coach, better DL coach, close to home, better degree. What more could a kid want.

I agree with this to a point, but there should be salary caps along with the 1x transfer rule they’re instituting. There has to be some guardrails to this thing.
So the SEC can violate the salary caps while teams like ND play by the rules? No thanks. And let me know when coaches have a 1x restriction on switching jobs.

yes a salary cap to go with a 1x transfer would put me all aboard with the NIL thing, look coach Saban part left college football because this NIL stuff was getting out of hand
I've said it once and I'll say it again: Fuck Nick Saban and his whining bullshit. I couldn't care less what his cheating ass thinks about the current landscape of college football.

It’s always about money. So if the podcaster said that, they just mean it’s not guaranteed to be the highest bidder and/or the highest bidder isn’t so far beyond the group that it’s THE factor.

It’s all about the Benjamins boys.

That isn't true. Half of the 2026 class had higher offers out there than what ND offered.

Miami and Tech are likely going to have former DL's name called this Thursday night.

He’s already had money thrown at him by TT and Miami. ND is competitive on that side of things so I don’t think a late offer will sway this. Following the visits and interviews after his ND visit with his mom, you have to feel good about this one.
