I think it is rare to get a high school kid who has experience playing man at the nickel spot in high school. Typically we move CBs that can’t cut it in college, or move a safety. Not sure how high a ceiling he has but don’t hate taking a flier from a big time program on a niche role player.

Man I trust the rankings and specifically the offers more than myself, and he’s really weak in both areas, but I thought he looked like a killer and Nickel in what I saw

Is it safe to say he's being recruited as a nickel and not a safety?

Nickel is the assumption based on the fact that he plays inside and defends the slot on film in high school. He's likely a big Nickel that can play safety as well. Chaminade-Madonna definitely produces a significant number of FBS recruits.
