I’m surprised LSU isn’t a factor/hasn’t offered. Port Arthur is a lot more Bayou like than the rest of Texas and proximity wise is equidistant from Baton Rouge as it is to College Station.

I say this to point out this isn’t a case where Texas or A&M are in his backyard. It’s probably almost as easy to fly to South Bend as it is to drive Austin.
