True. I read a number of non-ND pieces on him this week and it screamed ND. Then he shows up on campus before making a decision here in the near future.

And yet no Kentucky or Ole Miss, schools he visited 3 or more times. Even the in-state powerhouse is absent.

He technically saw ND play twice this season as he was on an official to A&M for the season opener.

If I had to guess a school without any more information, I’d say Clemson.

That’s a bummer. I knew he was deciding this month but didn’t realize it was today let alone in 40 minutes

No, he couldn't. I don't get why reporters do this hours before a commitment, especially in Smith's case where it would be way out of left field.
