Walton has wheels but his game is built a lot on power. He’ll be a 215-220 pound monster by the time it’s all said and done.
That was my impression as well. I watched his highlights and frankly didn't see a lot of lightning.

Looks like we're going more with the lightning in this class with the hope that kendren can be the thunder?
Both are obviously fast, but I wouldn't characterize either of them as the "Lightning". They want to hit you and are both absolutely yoked.

Thicc boys! (No Diddy)

Also, I know it was mentioned, but a seriously question. What in actual fuck happened with last years runningbacks..... Malpractice!

Prister gave a positive review, did have some criticism of him in the article. Not a burner, bounces outside too much, etc.

Did say he prefered Bonner.

Quite a few people think that DMC knew he wasn't going to be here much longer, or thought he was going to leave before the 2024 season, and as a result he mailed it in with the 2025 RB board.

I do, too, but Walton is a take and I don't think you can turn him down unless you know that Bonner is coming. It's possible that the staff has intel that they're not the #1 school for Bonner and don't want to risk losing out on Walton as well if they were to slow-play him.

You guys know we didn't sign Thurman or Anderson, right?
If you're telling me that it was an intentional recruiting strategy to take marginal recruits as to not scare off a late flip from a quality back, I'm on board. Otherwise it appeared to be a total lack of effort in which we were fortunate to end up with James.

I’m not sure it matters to rehash the recruiting of a coach who left, for a position group who that wasn’t impacted either now or likely in the future by it

Except in this case you already know the answer.

I know people get butthurt about #FoodThreads and off topic banter…but it’s more annoying when people ask the same questions they’ve already gotten some clarification on…multiple times…in multiple threads. So to recap:

+ Thurman plateaued.
+ Anderson was a weird offer based on a solid camp performance.
+ DMC sort of mailed it in.
+ Anderson and Thurman got processed.
+ We flipped James.

Sometimes his film reviews are good, but most of the time they’re not accurate.
His film review of Daniel Anderson that said he’d write a film review of Daniel Anderson when he saw a Division 1 athlete was the height of “OK, like … you didn’t have to say that” from a guy who says a lot of stuff like that.

Agree that he doesn’t show it as much in his junior tape, but he’s a legit 10.6 kid already. That’s 4.4 speed. Phenomenal times for anyone but especially for a kid built well like him.

Everyone should watch that video just to see the build on this young man. He outweighs the next closest guy in the meet by 15-20 lbs at least and still beat them al. He's probably +50 on a few of them. And honestly, his technique doesn't look perfect because he's a FOOTBALL player running track.

We used to get geeked out by a 220 lb guy who could break the 11s mark in the hundred. His acceleration and top end speed are at the top for his position. Getting 2 RBs of this caliber would be an A+ no questions asked. A lot of malleable clay for Landow to shape into a monster.

The runner-up is a nice sized LB/SS for Griffin around 6'1 205lbs, 10.70 certainly wasn't bad for him.

now i'm confused cause some are saying he isn't a burner but you show him being a 4.4 speed guy
