Good news: Dad is former NFL LB Mike Caldwell who was the DC for the Jags the past two years but is now with the Raiders. He's also played at MTSU so not a P4 legacy. Might Simeon be heading to Bishop Gorman this fall???

Bad news: His uncle is Tim Walton, Ohio State's DB Coach.

Bonus info: Bet he was named after Simeon Rice who his Dad played with while with the Cardinals.

I’m curious how many people would base on a decision on an Uncle. I can’t think of one Uncle that would make me lean toward a college but I have plenty I would stay away from.

Simeon's mother Sue (Walton) went to Tennessee where she was a sprinter and long jumper. Connection number two.

Like the highlights, and I'd venture to guess that he may very well grow out of safety and into linebacker. Wouldn't matter to me. His size, athleticism and pedigree make him an absolute take. He's near the top of my board if I'm a DC.
