As mentioned in another thread, I am interested to see how he does in this weeks game. He is playing in a league where you do not usually get an athlete of his caliber in it. They are usually reserved for the bigger schools of Parkland, Whitehall, Easton, Nazareth and the catholic schools. I played in it and went to Colgate and usually the top players end of going to Patriot or Ivy League schools at the top. The team they play this week, played in the state championship game last year and their team looks better than last year where they put a 42-14 beating on his team. I saw him play last year and he was a bean pole and played split out all year but heard he is playing a lot of inline this year. His school is a bigger school for the league that they are playing in and many of the people he is matched up with covering him are very undersized compared to him.

I am sure ND will have someone stopping in for tomorrow night's game as it is only a little over a hour ride from where they are playing on Saturday.

He reminds me a bit of Tyler Eifert and is pretty much a perfect compliment to Flanigan at TE.

Northwestern Lehigh is a machine right now. Not just football either. Their girls and boys soccer teams are both #1 seeds in districts, the girls are looking for their 4th (I think) straight district championship. They are breeding winners there.

But yeah, the Colonial League isn't known for many P5 caliber players. My buddy coaches at Pottsville so they play every year with the new Schuylkill-Colonial scheduling, and he said he still seems rather thin for being a TE at the next level.

What's our chances here?
I only offer what I know of the Lehigh Valley in general. Typically, tough to get kids from there. PSU is the obvious big puller there. Michigan seems to always grab a kid here and there from the area actually. Then you usually get a couple MAC, BC, Pitt, and the like kids as well.

That said, if he is talking, there has to be a chance right? I think getting a kid from this region of PA can only start good things.

They have been building something in all sports for sure. Their field hockey team is really good this year too and most likely the favorites to win the league in both boys and girls basketball coming up.

He's been committed for nearly four months, so for this to be progressing to a visit, there has to be something there right?

Very agile and in looking at his highlights you can see that he's probably not your average HS route runner either. Seems advanced in more than just talent and measurables. He gets the actual football part and isn't necessarily just out sizing and talenting everyone out there.

You get a guy that grasps running routes in HS to even a slightly advanced degree, that's a win.

Does Freeman, Bowden and Co show up if he has a game tonight? Lehigh is a couple hours away from NJ.

It might perk his interest given an earlier comment he made about Franklin showing up.

He played strictly as a WR last season but he's playing inline some this season.

They better not.

They have a game tomorrow at noon.

The Friday schedule is very rigid & already very busy.
There is a curfew & meetings all Friday night.

It would be coaching malpractice for Freeman to leave the team to take a 5-6 hour round trip to a HS game.
What if ND lost tomorrow? And Freeman did thar?

Would be a terrible look and his thread would be blowing up, but Bowden can!

I’m not sure Bowden’s role on game trips?

But if he has any role at all, he can’t deviate from it.
Only way he can go visit a HS recruit is if that’s his role normally on game trips.

For those of you outside PA...his school is class 4A out of 6. In most games he is the biggest kid on the field. Could be the next Tyler Eifert, or could be Jack Nickel. tbd

100%, Live streamed the game tonight. Some puzzling play calling in the game. Did not really make Olesh the focus of the offense until really it was too late. When went to Olesh, Northwestern Lehigh could not stop him. Olesh showed he was athletic with good hands. Did not really see the speed translate in the game though. Like Polish said hard to judge if he is Eifert of Nickel.
