I hope ND doesn't get choosey and just takes a big TE class next year. They probably lead for Roberts, Flanigan, and Ghea all of whom are top 200 talents.

That’s definitely his go to. If he puts in a 7 or higher, it’s usually a lock
That’s the same thing that Wiltfong does. I’m assuming it gives him a bit of cover so that recruits can’t claim that they spoiled their moment as opposed to if they throw down a 9.

A few years ago a 6 was a pure guess, a 7 was they thought a kid was going to commit. An 8 was the kid told them where he was going to commit & a 9 was he already committed and had a public date to announce decided.

But they took a lot of heat for ruining kids’ moments so now they all just use 6 for everyone. They might as well just drop the number and use a generic pick.
