A little on the short side, but reported 35inch arm length. People want to say he’s basically Zeke Correll, but Zeke was short, had trouble maintaining 295 as the season went along, and had I believe like 32inch arm length.

The athleticism is there. Foot speed and quickness. If he can maintain around 310/305 consistently during a season, then we have a player and potential starter.

Bonus points for being a Hoosier. Doesn’t hurt to get a toe back in the door at Warren Central. A lot might not have the books on point from there but Sheldon Day didn’t seem to have a problem here and OL are the smart ones.

This seems to be another solid pick up. Not sure where he will fall in line but this is one of those players that’s starts out as great depth and turns into an everyday player.

Iowa has had guys like this drafted into the League over the years. Three star guys considered too short and all that.

This guy has DT all over him. Im calling it now. He is pulling a Tillery.

Do we even know if this kid has ever played on the defensive side of the football?

I'm not seeing anywhere that he's going to play anything beyond OL.

In terms of his height, Jason Kelce was considered "short" because he was in the 6'2" - 6'3" range. What made him elite was his quickness and intelligence.

Hopefully this kid follows in that mold.

Nothing seems to indicate he was being recruited for anything other than OL. If you look at the coaches who were recruiting him from the schools that offered, it's heavy on the OL coach side.

His technique is excellent. He's also football and book smart. Future center.

I only brought up the height, because HS's will inflate measurements as much as anyone, so there is a good chance he is less than 6'3". I also think his quickness and arms are perfect for playing D. We need a disrupter in the middle. Sam M. was 6'3" and did pretty well at C, but IIRC, he struggled to keep the weight on. Would ne nice to see a pic of him standing next to Freeman or someone else we know.

Herron repeatedly pointed to Irish offensive line coach Joe Rudolph as the chief reason for that decision.

“He’s one of the greatest in the nation,” Herron said of Rudolph. “He's great. He keeps it 100 with you, he keeps it serious with you about everything. Through the recruiting process, he kept it real with me the whole time.

“He's there to try to push you to be your best self as a person and also as a person. He expects the best from you every day. He pushes you and the whole o-line room.”

Herron said he received the offer from the Irish a few weeks prior to taking an official visit to Notre Dame this past weekend.

“Coach Rudolph has been rooting for me and been trying to get an offer for me for forever,” Herron explained. “Ever since I met him, he's been trying to get an offer for me. They've ran out of spots because they had three o-line commits already. They were only going to get tackles this year because they obviously just lost two of their tackles to The League.”

This doesn't sound like anything pertaining to D Line has been discussed between the coaches and the player in question.

I fail to understand the assumption he has to go to defense when he has every measurable and intangible you look for in a center.

Whatever.

Same was said by many about A Wagner. That’s working out quite well.

Maybe because I’m 40 and I resist the urge to admit OL are built better than me… also the same reason work in government and not in football. Lol.

One of the things that didn't get talked about enough on this one is that what pushed this over the line for the staff was senior film. It shows they're working and gives me hope that they're not the dead asses so many people here claim them to be.

Still hoping for an RB and WR to get over the line.

Warren has a cake walk sectional. Tech, Perry Meridian, and Southport…doesn’t get much easier than that in 6A
