I watched Watts play back to back HS tournament games his Junior year, the year they won State.
He was unstoppable at WR in that tournament & easily outperformed the borderline 5 Star WR that went to (and flamed out at) Nebraska, Xavier Betts.
He was an excellent WR

Let's look at it position by position, Freeman v. Kelly:
QB: Freeman
RB: Freeman (this year ain't great)
WR: Freeman
OL: Kelly?
TE: Kelly
DL: Kelly
LB: Freeman
CB: Freeman
S: Freeman
OLine is impossible to tell since none of Freeman’s guys are older than true sophomores right now. Same with DLine to an extent. If Traore and Bryce Young turn out to be first rounders then clearly Freeman is better there too, right?

100% fair. I just think given what Kelly produced under his tenure at OL, you have to give him the edge

Guy’s quads look tiny. Pass. Guy probably isn’t squatting correctly

Clearly?
Traore & Young don’t match Tuitt, Day, Tillery, Lynch, Okwara, Foskey, Nix, etc…
OL isn’t even close.
Three NFL All Pros and many more in the league.
And Alt & Fisher were both Kelly.
So in just the last 7 years, first Rounders
Alt, Nelson, Stanley, McGlinchey, & 2nd Rounders Fisher, Banks, Eichenberg.
And Mustipher, Hainsey, Patterson, Kraemer.

Did we jump the gun here? Saw a quote that he may still take other visits?

When Freeman was our DC he also coached LB's, with LB recruiting getting to the level it is at is not shocking to me.

I think this could be the year Jaylen Sneed blows up on the field.

NOB, Faraimo, and Sacca would be one heck of a haul at LB.

Yeah and you also hear a lot of the recruits talk about how Freeman's age, fact he played LB in college and in NFL resonates with the LB recruits. He also just comes off like a genuine guy. I hope Sneed can make that jump, he's got so much potential to make those highlight/game changing plays. Then to see the development of KVA over next 1-2 years, he's got that "it-factor" in him where you know it's just a matter of time until he's that QB of the D type guy.

Would not be a surprise. He has the green light from the staff, and Texas is just a throw-in OV for Madden.

I was expecting an announcement date around the beginning of July. Previously in the past, Freeman & Bowden have liked to set up these announcements from recruits in a consecutive rhythm. It just depends if Madden wants to wait or not. He already knows where he is going. The Texas OV is simply an obligation.

We're talking about an all expenses paid to to Austin? Even in June, that'd be hard to turn down.

Depends on the kid.
Faraimo isn’t like that just like KVA wasn’t like that. KVA was offered multiple free trips to great places & turned them all down and went to a Bible retreat instead.

From Chad Simmons

Faraimo is working to set up a commitment announcement the first week of July. He wants to make sure all of his family are together for it.

Kevin said he wouldn't be surprised if he committed next week. Hint hint or nyet?
