Yeah, because Grandpa Carr probably has to really spell it out what it's like when assistant coaches move on and out.

If there is one family that probably "gets" the ins and outs of the business, we have to assume it's this one, right?

Props to Tom Loy for poking his own hornet's nest to drive site traffic, though. I get it.

I like Parkers enthusiasm and GG as QB Coach. I also think coming after Hartman might be a plus too. They need to rerecruit Hartman to stay and then keep on Carr.

I think we’ll be ok with car. From what people are saying about Gino is very good. But Carr has recruited Williams now Williams can recruit Carr.

Loy has to do something now that Tommy is gone, right? I mean, who is going to be his go-to source now?

Not just players but coaches.
Notre Dame could give them plenty of rea$on$ to come but they choose not. It will never change. We’ll keep getting served chicken shit and pretend we’re eating chicken salad.

Gino's work with Desmond Ridder alone should have Hartman, Minchey and Carr sleeping quite well at night. Ridder was Gino's guy.

To be fair it was one QB and they didn’t play a lot of good competition dude to the conference. Not sure what their P5 record is with him there.

I love when people like to go back and prove stuff on an online forum. We all know how bright and perfect you are. Lets search if you said anything that was way off.
Internet tool...
Why are you involved here? Me and Teo are having a fun ball busting back and forth. Not sure what your beef is with me, but this is the second shot you’ve taken at me like a little bitch ass coward. Which you are on the internet and real life. DM me if you’ve got a problem instead of clogging shit up. I’ll be waiting for the notification twink.

Teo4 Heisman you see this? Maybe I wasn’t grasping after all?
Yea because everything that they talk about on podcasts is legit

I think the hard part is so often I feel like whether it be the beat, podcasts, or posters on a message board, so many people are always just looking for a reason for something to be wrong. Reality is, for the most part we wont ever know what reality is haha.

It was more a feeling I had. Quite possibly wrong feeling of course. Something about their relationship seemed off last year. Can’t put my finger on it. Just a vibe, again which could be wrong. Probably never know the truth now that Tommy isn’t around anymore to leak out the info 😂

I don't know how Gino will do at ND. He seems to be a pretty good QB coach. Really nothing more, nothing less. But whatever the case, he, and Gimmy Parkhard, are going to have to point to a lot more than "Desmond Ridder" as the reason Carr should come to ND. Gino wasn't even the coordinator or head coach, who probably had as much to do with what successes Ridder had as Gino.

By that reasoning, Carr should go to byu because Aaron Roderick was the guy that got Zach Wilson drafted number 2 overall the year before. It's not like Ridder exactly set the world on fire either when he was finally able to take over for a few games from the esteemed Marcus Mariota.

I don't know the Carr family, but I'd be willing to bet they will be taking much more into consideration of where he ultimately goes than "random guy drafted into the NFL coached by random position coach." Every school can boast that. It doesn't set any school apart.

I hope Gino does well and is, ultimately, a reason Carr picks ND. But there are a lot of programs out there that can boast of much better success stories than Ridder.

Yea that is great except the OC is a fairly decent unknown to Hartman in terms of his offense. I think we would be way more secure had Swarbrick paid the vig for Ludwig.

Yeah, you're right, fuck it. Why even bring it up. Dude has been coaching QBs for five years and took a guy that wasn't even in the Top 1500 recruits of his senior class only to become the best QB in school history and a third round draft pick. That was all on Fickell and Denbrock. Not like recruiting is anything at all about spin. Leave it out. Entirely.

They can shoot the shit about militias in upper Michigan and Chad Henne's favorite color.

Did you miss this part of my post?

Gino wasn't even the coordinator or head coach, who probably had as much to do with what successes Ridder had as Gino.

It’s ok to recognize that multiple people played a part in Ridder’s success. It wasn’t all GG.

I never said not to mention Ridder either. You said that.

It’s almost like you didn’t even read the words in my post. At all.

Will it be fair for other coaches recruiting Carr to mention the fact that if he was such a great quarterback coach, then why didn’t GG’s own boss hire him to coach…quarterbacks? Fickell has obviously been around him a lot and thought so much of him as a QB coach…to hire him to coach another position.

Every school and coach can simply point to having some kid drafted by the nfl. That’s all there is with Ridder so far. He struggled when he finally played.

Many schools and coaches will be able to show the Carr family a hell of a lot more success stories than Desmond Ridder. Ridder is a great success story for…Cincinnati. He’s not as big of a story when you’re going up against other coaches who can talk about the multiple QB’s they’ve had drafted.

Should GG use Ridder? Of course. But as I originally said, he and the OC need to do a lot more than merely mention “Ridder” to convince a great QB to come to ND.

Because GG was interviewing to be the Western Michigan HC and Fickell had already hired Longo as OC/QB coach.

Yes, I’m sure every QB recruit ND will be after will have it explained that way to them by rival college coaches, agents, and uncles.

You think because Gino Guidugli was TE coach at Wisconsin for a month, he forgot everything he learned in 5 years of coaching QBs? And that month as a TE coach invalidates his success developing Desmond Ridder into an NFL draft pick?
