Just tweeted that it's official. Not surprised. Hasn't been to campus forever

He supposedly wants a bag

Why wouldn't he. I think any kid should go for a bag while they can. ND needs to play ball or become... IDK Stanford or mid tier.

I don't agree with the way things are now, but it's the world we live in

Until ND starts offering up front money for NIL this will continue to happen we will be stuck with a bunch of 3-4 star guys

They'll be fine. It's really early in the 2024 cycle, they will rebound. Singer just put in predictions for the Smith brothers out of Connecticut.

At this point, I'd be all for ND alumni/boosters giving kids the bag like what happens at other schools. If the NCAA won't punish them then it's fair game, right?

Loyal to the bag!! One reason I fell in love with college football was the feeling of players being committed to the team and the cause. It’s quickly becoming a salary capless professional sport with 1 year contracts.

Seemed like a high minded ideal when in truth they just didn’t have any options.

I don't think this was the bag. I think he was just high on Michigan and chose now to jump ship.

Any ideal can seem high minded until you add options. For example I did marriage counseling for years. Reality is most are faithful until their options change. Sometimes cheating isn’t an option because it just isn’t… but when it becomes an option and there is a chick offering you more “NIL” than your spouse 🤷‍♂️. And often times when you do go for the “bag” you usually wind up in the transfer portal pretty quick.

Yep. Usually having too many options is not a positive for people. Think Chris Rock used to joke about a man being as faithful as his options. Often true.

Or maybe even seep up. Can see a lot more professional players down the road holding out for more money, contacts be damned.
