I like Sprague.
I do too. Great length. Rockhurst is a very pro-ND school as well, I know a few Rockhurst/ND alums.

Any thoughts on positional projection for these guys? 247 has Jones and Moore as IOL guys. I’d be happy going with 4 if we take the high ceiling guards along with Sprague and Lambert at tackle.

Moore impressed Justin Frye while playing LT. A position he hasn't played because 2023 4* Luke Burgess currently holds that spot down.

Of all the OL's at that camp. only Moore left with an offer. He may be OT material down the road even if he's not the 6-6+ frame we hope every OT prospect has. ND's had a few 6-4 OT's recently that are playing on Sunday's... even if it's not OT these days.

I really want him to workout for HH and see what HH thinks. Actually go against that level and see how he handles it.

Do you know Moore’s true height? A 6’5” G/T would be pretty enticing. I hope Moore gets an offer this upcoming visit regardless.

Wasnt offered by HH.

I said before I was curious to see how HH viewed him.

Too many people on here are caught up in his ranking.

He is big. He has a lot to work on.

Sounds like HH thinks there’s only those 4 kids that deserve offers prior to junior year

THX 91.

Was there an interview with Moore or his Dad that lead him to believe that? Was it published?

Been surprisingly few positive, in depth pieces about Moore/ND.
Love seeing your posts in a thread, with the typical ND recruiting guys I can rationalize how they get/keep relationships in recruiting but how does a regular dude do it? Not to hijack a thread too much, but for curious on the below;

How do you stay so in tune with recruiting all over the country while maintaining a regular life?

When you're looking into a player do you speak more to the coaches? or the families themselves?

(I should have included BobbyMac in my ND media tier list....)

It was during a Q&A portion on one of the IB YouTube shows over the summer.

Up until this spring when I dove back into Corp America full time, I worked from home and had plenty of time to follow my Twitter feed, IE, 247 & ISD. I also dove into talking to recruits, coaches and parents before an offer I couldn't refuse popped up.

As far as staying in tune now? I think you learn the ebb & flow of how things are going by what's being said, but sometimes it's what's not being said that is the real tell. Who is doing the talking is also important. You also have to trust Google and local coverage over the national recruiting industry where the questions are leading and the answers are canned.

Who did I talk to is more based on who reached out to me after I followed a player or if I tweeted about their film... but once one side reaches out and follows you, they all do.

Was making a lot of great connections in '24 & '25. Had some conversations about doing it full time but the money isn't anywhere I'd need it to be. But who knows what tomorrow will bring?

Thanks for the backstory! Appreciate the effort and dedication.

If you can spin the fulltime job into getting involved in the NIL game....

FWIW, Ryan Roberts just said on the IB Youtube show that if ND offers he'd expect Ian to be in the class "pretty quickly."

Ideal 3-man OL class would be Jones, Lambert, and Moore.

New Pal is ranked #4 in the state. Impressive for a 4A school.

Their '18 or '19 squad was ranked #1 overall by Maxpreps.
Yeah, my buddy’s son was supposed to be on those teams but went to Mount Vernon instead. Plays QB for Anderson University now.

My mom lives in New Pal as a side note.

Does HH really not like this kid or is there something more to it? Rivals has him as the #1 OT in the nation and 247 has him as #4 IOL. Kinda baffling.

The 2024 OL class is reportedly weak. Another issue might be whether or not the staff is convinced that Peter Jones is a Tackle. Ideally, the staff would like 2 Tackles and 1 Guard in the class. Peter Jones is already on board and the staff badly wants Guerby Lambert, who I'm confident we lead for. If they view Jones as a Tackle then they might offer Ian Moore, but if they view Jones as a Guard then it's unlikely he will be offered. I think Jones can play Tackle and hope they offer Moore. He's a solid player and he is very high on ND.

Committed to Ohio State.

Hiestand just didn’t like him it seems. Will be one to look back on in the Hiestand files.

Hope there is a reboot with his ND recruitment now that there's been a regime change.

Rivals has him as the #1 OT and #32 overall and named him the first OL expected to be named 5*.

Cosgrove had this to say:

- The one offensive lineman who stands out as being five-star ready right now is Ian Moore.

- Has prototypical size that you look for in a future first-round draft pick

- Incredibly lean at 6-foot-6 290 and should have no problem adding plenty of mass without losing his overall twitch and athleticism.

- Has great bend, is extremely fluid in all his movements

- Redirects laterally with no wasted movement. Is phenomenal using his length to keep both speed and power rushers at distance.

- From size to skill-set, there isn't a better offensive lineman in this class than Moore.

And why would he leave his OSU verbal??

Maybe because he grew up an ND fan like his Dad?

Maybe Q is his favorite player?

Maybe the ND offer was the one he wanted above all else and HH told him it wasn't coming?

Maybe he wants the best possible undergrad education / offensive line experience in CFB?

There's all kinds of possible reasons.
