There seems to be some excitement around him even though his rankings are very low.

Warner Robins (Ga.) high school class of 2024 receiver Isiah Canion is a new name on the Notre Dame recruiting board. Receivers coach Chansi Stuckey and director of recruiting Chad Bowden caught wind of him weeks ago and have been making a run at him ever since.

Composite 4 star now. ESPN ranked him 240. On3 ranked him 94 which is a bit ridiculous IMO. I think ESPN is more of a case of a broken clock being right twice a day, but 240ish to 180 or so feels right to me. Won't be surprised if he's the next commit in the class.

It would not surprise me in the least if ESPN and On3's primary metric for ranking high school football players is "feels."

To be fair, it also goes the other way. "We shouldn't be recruiting 3 star projects. WE ARE ND!!" They shouldn't be recruited because they are 3 stars, but when everyone else realizes how good they are, we won't be able to keep them.

He's a Stanford offer type of prospect. If UGA came calling would that still matter? Who knows. But he's a different type of cat. They're in on some real RKG's that can ball this cycle.

UGA and Bama are going to do UGA and Bama. I think the chances are remote that either or both would get to the point that they'd have to break the emergency glass to get a guy like Canion. Especially at receiver.
