What are you basing this on? The university just cashed in to keep him two months ago. He's only going to leave for a head coaching job or an NFL OC gig, maybe.

Not really, I only put OSU 1st because Dante grew up an OSU fan but its been ND vs MSU for a while with ND leading. Its the Tommy and MF effect. Jim Hardballs has been Dante's lead recruiter. But, if he looks at the top contenders QB room, he has the best shot at starting day 1 at MSU followed by...ND. Miami has Tyler Van Dyke and just signed Jacurri Brown, 4*.

Dante is ND unless someone screws up his recruitment (Rees). But he is still taking his visits and then is Coach Freeman time.

I think this is a really bold statement. I truly think this kid is open to being impressed by Miami/Michigans/ND/PSU still.

The hiring of Coach Freeman put ND on top with Dante and a lot of top 250 recruits in the 2023, 24 and 2025 classes. Another year of BK, Nope.

Notre Dame hasn't had an OC stay for more than 3 years in 20+ years and Tommy Rees will almost certainly have those opportunities (college HC gig, NFL OC gig) come his way next offseason.

I just don’t think it’s as certain as that, the pool of jobs is small he will take IMO. Forget the NFL for a sec because that’ll be impossible to predict, what CFB HC job do you think is likely to open that Rees would take?

UCLA is actually the ceiling job opportunity I could see for him when had the Rams on the brain. Nebraska I don’t see him being a prime candidate. GA Tech I guess but wouldn’t expect either from both POVs.

The problem is that every school won't be interested in him and he won't be interested in every job. Rees is eventually leaving. That is a given. It's not a given, however, that it will be next year. We see great coordinators (older than Rees) stay at jobs all the time.

Most of the P5 and SEC schools have reached out to Dante. Nico, Archie and Vizzina are the top options for the SEC schools and OSU, PSU and other PAC 12 schools. Dante just isn't that interested in them and he knows that ND/MSU/MI really wants him. Bama will try to engage with Dante if they miss on Archie and Nico.

I think QB's will have tons of movement across the country once Archie lands somewhere. This is why I think ND has been in contact with Dante, Arnold and Vizzina so much. Trying to lay the groundwork before other teams come calling in a couple of months.

I'm sure they have. I guess he's not reciprocating, right now anyway.
But you get at what worries me, that whichever SEC powers don't land their preferred Top 5 QB will come in late and try to sweep him off his feet.
