Yeah, its definitely the exception that there is another D1 QB on the roster. It is just so incredibly rare for 2 D1 QBs to be on the same roster. I mean, what are the odds that that happened in this situation? The guy that started over him is probably some bun working at a McDonalds now. Let's look him up.

I also read that he would most likely be on a baseball scholarship at ND unless he actually takes snaps in a FB game. If true, that’s a great situation with little to lose. ND could still bring in a transfer on FB scholarship but Roch would be a great “let’s see what he can do”.

Once again, it's not off base to talk about what's gone on in any 2023 QB recruit thread regarding the timeline of events. Especially when it goes from Dante Moore to an unranked QB who just plays football on the side. The NiL had a lot to do with it. I'll keep sharing my opinions. Or you can just Mod it out. They've had consistently mediocre offenses otherwise, and Narduzzi will be on the hot seat again in 2023. PLUS the kid goes to a catholic high school, which should mean at least something.

He may have an easier path to the field at Pitt. Even if the ND QB room may be bleak next year, Minchey is not a Day 1 starter - most true freshman are not. By the time he is a sophomore, there are potentially two or three QBs (pending no transfers) ahead of him that are upperclassmen. And Carr as a freshman, a borderline 5-star.

For Minchey, it is likely easier to see a path as a multi-year starter at a school like Pitt than ND.
