I know hindsight is 20/20, but what a good decision he made. Yeah he could have transferred home to a Texas school and abused his body for a season and maybe been a top 10 pick and ended up somewhere like Cleveland. Instead, he got his degree took less abuse for a season and now he's a running back for Seattle. Sure he didn't get 50 Milly, but he got 17...which it's still generational wealth. Sounds to me like the kid is a genius!
17 mil is a couple runs to target for my wife

What's extra dumb is the powers of cfb could HAMMER member schools for tampering. They probably can't stop the tampered player from going to the tampering school, but I'd be surprised if they couldn't use sanctions to crush the next 5-10 years of a program for engaging in tampering.

Unless they kill the market, they are never going to be able to stop an agent or uncle from shopping a player around to schools.
Then the cheating school would scream collusion and so on
it would all end up in court and only the lawyers ever win there

I mean the NFL even has a period that they actually call a legal tampering period

The university of North Dakota just got busted for it.

Per usual, the rules will be selectively enforced on schools that don't have clout.
