Going for 2016.2 Fingers crossed. One of those times when you can say 4's not too many by pointing to the 4 from the same class you just put into the NFL.

Had 63 Tkl ... 14 TFL ... 7 Sks in 11G vs 6A DFW schedule. Lost close game to Quinn Ewers / Southlake in the playoffs.

shows he's not hung up on staying in Texas, or the south for that matter. And seeing Stanford on the list has become a plus in recent years IMO. It means the player is serious about academics and they don't beat us head to head as much as they used to.

I think this comes down to how hard does ND push for him and is there space. Mr. Cooper might be another casualty of the Donovan Hinish recruitment.

Interesting off market freebie.

I get the feeling that RJ will be Irish if they let him.

On topic, Cooper, potentially, not being a take just blows me away. I can't believe we could pass on all 3 of those guys for Donovan Hinish. I love that family but that just blows me away. Same goes for Artis and Orange. Passing on all 3 is just mind boggling. End of rant, lol.

Off topic, Orange is a guy that I really covet. I think he'd be a great 1T in a 3 down base. I mean great. He's strong as an ox and moves really well. With news that Lucas wants to stay outside in college, I'd be all in on Orange. But, that's just me.

Agreed on every last word.

When you get a chance, would you explain / link the DE comment on Lucas in his thread? I've seen this mentioned and I want to see the genesis and exact context before I jump in head first. Thx

This is very frustrating.

An undersized, low ceiling DT like Hinish should only be a take if you've missed on all the better players on your board.

We need to follow BYU's lead and have boosters paying the tuition of every borderline or "depth piece" guy the staff is interested in recruiting. Our 85 scholarships need to be for players with NFL potential if we want to close the gap with 'Bama and Clemson.

I would've taken Cheeks over Ziegler.

Not me.

Watch Ziegler and he is a beast. He’s long, smooth & physical. He committed early so not a lot of fanfare. When Freeman came on he had the chance to move away from Ziegler & did the opposite, he went and rerecruited him because he is exactly what Freeman wants. You don’t want 2-3 of the same player. Ziegler brings a unique skill set the others don’t.
And Cheeks was underwhelming is Junior year. Some say it was because he was out of position, but he looked like he gained bad weight & was slow & indecisive. I know a few people who think Ziegler is going to be the surprise if the class.

I'm with you. Ziegler's body reminds me of Liufau.

Yea, there might be some fun or sad “what if’s” in the future.

well it depends on one's approach

Some of us have often drooled the sloppy drool of regret.
It ain't that much fun.

Lot's wife looked back and turned into a pillar of salt.

And in the words of the late great Satchel Paige

"don't look back, something might be gaining on you."

Count me as someone that was underwhelmed by Cheeks Junior Film. I don’t see the athlete he once was. Reminds me a little of Shayne Simon. As he added size and weight his whole profile changed and he just wasn’t as good of a fit at the new profile. Not relative to other guys that were always at that position.
