Don't know about the kid but he comes from an absolute powerhouse in Philly. St Joes Prep plays a national schedule. Last year's team had a QB headed to Ohio St, Marvin Harrison's son, and Jeremiah Trotter's son.

McCord and Harrison headed to OSU, Trotter to Clemson. We almost landed John Reid from Prep a few years ago, and DeAndre Swift is another alumni. Don't know how many football players Prep has sent to ND over the years, but Steve Vasturia was a basketball star there.

TIFWIW, my contact at SJP says Nelson likes us and would be a good fit from an academic perspective.

I don’t know why but his name just doesn’t come up much in the DB conversation. Maybe that changes soon.

edit: I guess we know why and it’s Rogers and Brown that might be keeping the CB board at bay for now.

Being in the Philly area, it's crazy to see how many northeast kids flock to the south (even to mediocre programs). But if I were 18 and you sold me on SEC football, hot chicks and great weather...I'd have a really hard time saying no.
