Tommy started following him since Bounds committed.

Matter of time I imagine.

Good basketball player, Brey will be jealous. Dude's got a sweet stroke from deep.

It appears they may really be looking for that Joe Staley special.

And with how we've recruited OL in the past, I'm perfectly okay with it.

I think some of our best linemen have been the guys that have the tools but just need time to develop. I still wish we could have seen what Tate Nichols could have become should he have not got injured.

I've seen TE's converted to offensive linemen, but converting a pitcher to OT may be a first. I'll show myself out.

I LOVE this concept, always have. Tosh Baker is basically this except he was a year more developed than most because he was 270 going into his Jr season.

One of HH's downfalls I believe was as a rule, he didn't recruit these hi-ceiling developmental OT-only types besides of course... McG. And that turned out just like it should. If anything, when he did get an OL with OT measurables, he pushed them inside = Bars, Lugg, maybe Banks depending on who you believe.

There's a reason that every year you find former 3* 6-7 OT's going in the first 3 days of the draft from non-powerhouse programs. They are forced to reach for a skinny 6-7 project because the P5's keep taking all of the 6-5/300 HS OT's that are more physically mature at the time. Taking one of these guys in cycles where a Tosh Baker or Nolan Rucci doesn't commit just seems like a no brainer to me.

This is all well and good, but hinges entirely on Quinn's ability to develop linemen. And the jury is still very much out on that one...

Well, he did turn HS WR into a future HOFer

He did turn a HS RB into an All-Pro OC

He did take a RS-Fr OT and convert him to a (way better than I expected) starting OC
