Is this a fake account? Eric Thomas retweeted it but can’t find anything on this name.

Kamari Holloway is a '27 RB from North Carolina. He is saying his last account was hacked, but he is posting offers from all the big boys. Looking at his profile, I have my doubts. If it is an offer, it is not an actionable one.

As each month passes and important spring visits take place, we have to update our class projection. This process is ongoing until the summer months when 75'ish% of the class is usually committed and the recruiting process slows down. As of today, here is my BEST GUESS at the 2027 recruiting class (24 players)...

QB: Champ Monds
RB: Lathan Whisenton
RB: Isaiah Rogers
WR: Cade Cooper
WR: Julius Jones Jr
WR: Jackson Coleman
TE: Jaxon Dollar
OL: James Halter
OL: Layton Von Brandt
OL: Richie Flanigan
OL: Cameron Wagner or Luke Starcevic
DE: Abraham Sesay
DE: Aidan O'Neil
DE/DT: Alifeleti Tuihalamaka
DT: David Folorunsho
DT: Brayden Parks
LB: Amarri Irvin
LB: Sean Fox (admittedly this is a loose guess)
CB: Xavier Hasan
CB: Ace Alston
S/NB: Zayden Gamble
S: John Gay III
S: Karnell "Greedy" James
LS: Sean Kraft

Composite score total: 297.54

I’d take a 297.5 all day, especially one where we hit on an elite WR and DT.

You’re also likely to see more of these guys move up then move down over time.

Some thoughts:
  • Only been a week, but I feel this is already better than what we were projecting
  • I anticipate Monds getting a bump. So the total score should go up
  • I still feel like we will land a 4th WR
  • Is Wagner silent? A surprise visit this past weekend after visiting recently again
  • I would prefer 3 LBs
  • Still needs that non-traditional ND kid

•Would need another WR with those 3
•Another LB as well to set the bar
•Class is still missing one of those dynamic (Sabb/Royal/Meredith) types that always end up in $EC or O$U.

- I don't think ND takes 4 WRs after taking 5 last year. 9 over 2 years seems extreme. I'm starting to think that ND might be willing to take two taller WRs in this class as long as at least one of them (Coleman) in this case, has the speed and dynamic athleticsm to play the field as well.

- I too would like a 3rd linebacker, despite it being more of a want than need given that ND's base defense is now nickel and 3 linebacker sets are rarely used. I would anticipate that if ND added a 25th player the "next guy in" would be a linebacker.

- While I do agree that I'd like to see ND pull another guy that doesn't traditionally project for ND, I do think this projected class would have two of them in the fold in Abraham Sesay and Champ Monds. Neither of those guys are the types that would be likely for ND pre Freeman.

- "Big Fish" that still seem unlikely, but could put the class over the top include:

OT Oluwasimilore Olobubola
OG Albert Simien
WR Easton Royal
WR Xavier Sabb
WR Easton Royal
WR Osani Gayles
WR Julian Caldwell
WR Matthew Gregory
DE KJ Green
DE/DT Marcus Fakatou
LB Joakim Gouda
LB Kaden Henderson
S Gavin Williams

Good point about Champ and Sesay, the reason I would take a 4th Wr is because I could see a “surprise” Wr or two leaving. If some of those young guys flash, some upperclassmen may realize it is best to transfer. Some more likely than others, but i could see a world where the following COULD leave: Gilbert, Porter, Cam, Graham (pros), Saldate, Burress.

In this case ND would go in the portal for a WR, maybe grab a Freshman guy off another team that played some. With then allowing more undergrad transfers I think they will continue to be picky with HS guys

Yes i understand this. But remember how Marsh and KJ Duff were coming to ND? Still need to recruit hs kids

Yeah and we landing Graham and Porter?
Which were great breaks but not something you can plan on. At the end of the day, ND still wants to land kids from high school. Let's say they lose 3 WRs to transfers then Greathouse and Faison. Adding 4 hs kids and a transfer could still make sense.

This guy really likes Easton Royal…

I think we pull Gavin Williams and Fakatou off this list.

Precisely, it's going to be some turnover in the WR room. I know people are quick to bring up the portal but you have to recruit "prep" kids as well and not just rely on some other teams recruiting.

A type of guy we haven't been able to trot on the field in ages. Graham is nice and has the short area quickness but not the "Elite" top end long speed.

Correct. HS recruiting is key. We land the 3 kids Ontario mentioned and I will be happy. Adding another slot/field guy is good too. Not saying all the players I listed will leave, but many could! We should explore the WR transfer market every year but not be dependent on it
