Both McKeough and JOB just now mentioned the class, the guys themselves as a reason they committed. Freeman does a great job of letting the class recruit itself and he gets to work on the families.

Related - that’s why someone like Vallejo just not taking his OV and coming on a Monday or whatever alone stunk, very easily could have been Irish if he was a part of these weekends.
I think Vallejo got brainwashed by that whore ann arbor about ND being too difficult for him academically. Some of the parent comments after he committed certainly reeked of that stench.

The length/athleticism of this db class is ridiculous. Chas Smith and Khary Adams are your made in a lab genetic freak 6'2 corners. Then Pouncey at 6'3 at SS and there were reports JOB is 6'5 this summer. That's size nfl teams dream of.

Gonna be some small windows to throw in for the opposition, especially if Ash starts mixing in more zone.

My gut feeling is that they more or less finish up the class this summer but with come late fall and/or winter some top talent is going to want to in at ND and that they will take 2 or 3 because they are just to talented to say NO. I think Vallejo comes to his senses and drops Michigan after another sub-par season and seeing Sherrone Moore suspended.

Maybe a USC commit or two after the crash out.

This is 100% what you do:
  • Land Golden
  • Land 2 of the 3 TEs (I prefer Premer over them all.)
  • Land Fitz (duh). Hopefully Finley too. Robinson I understand taking him and also understand not taking him

  • Recruit guys committed to other places (Vallejo, some USC guys, etc.)
  • Monitor the senior seasons for DL, LB, WR (depending what happens with the 3 WRs above), and QB (ducks)
  • Recruit the next class

This is Golden's 5th vist to ND this weekend? After the run they've had the past couple of days in recruiting why wouldn't he want to be apart of a defense that can bring a championship.

I agree with this 98% only difference is WR order I have is Finley (duh), Robinson then Fitz. I value guys who can stretch the field more when coupled with our backfield and we have had lots of boundary guys in the last decade but no passing game is like those Fuller or Tate years.

Everything else spot on and of course evaluate a couple prospects who have big senior years.

It was not a list of priority! Fitz just seems locked in. The other 2 are still fights.

I’d still recruit Vallejo but I’d love to grab a developmental DE/DT someone whose willing to sit for 2 years and then get into the rotation

And, most importantly, don't rest on your laurels. You keep recruiting your current commitments like heck. Make sure they are all part of the family every day. It helps that all the recruits and families are close also.
