This is what I assume occurred, which is a positive. There’s just no world where this defense isn’t a top 10 unit with this talent, and really should be top 3Singer also had Carr connecting a few big time plays with Greathouse
If Carr was the best player on the field, he’s the Heisman front runner that knows the defensive personnel/playbook like the back of his hand
We've finally got the ath-o-letes to compete.Wanted to wish my Irish friends a successful upcoming season. I think you guys will be there in the end with a great chance to be the last team standing. Tee it up and get it done Irish.
Save the folder "Bedwetting posts to make if they dont immediately dominate Wisconsin" though. We are nearing peak off-season optimism, which plenty think can only be cured by instant bedwetting in September.Quickly deleting my folder titled "Bedwetting posts to make if the Defense won the scrimmage" from my desktop and opening my "Bedwetting posts to make if the Offense won the scrimmage" folder

You honestly think this D can hold them to 0 points for a whole quarter??This site is going to be a Warzone on September 6th when it’s 3-0 ND at the end of the first quarter.
At least the kicker finally made a FG after missing the first two from 60 yards out. This site is going to be a Warzone on September 6th when it’s 3-0 ND at the end of the first quarter.
Classic Tommy Rees spoonfeeding stories to make the QB look goodSources are saying Minchey played like an all-pro
I'm comfortable thinking that the defense was hampered by some things 1) CJ couldn't be touched; 2) some players did play as much, and that we have a very good offense that was able to take of advantages of those... advantages.
Championship
Bingo. What you hope is the defense took it personally and responds the next time. Iron sharpening ironThe QB can never be touched in practice. When the defense wins/dominates a scrimmage, Carr isn’t getting touched then either.
If CJ is as good as a lot of people are expecting him to be, the offense should/will have days when they beat the defense. This is a good thing.

Not sure how you took my comment, but yeah, I was saying the offense kicking ass was a good thing. The QB can never be touched in practice. When the defense wins/dominates a scrimmage, Carr isn’t getting touched then either.

But what is Ryan Roberts take?According to Singer the offense won the scrimmage and it wasn’t close
YAAYYYYY!!! WE MADE A FIELD GOAL!!!!!!This site is going to be a Warzone on September 6th when it’s 3-0 ND at the end of the first quarter.
This is Golden Tate slanderAll I'll ask is if Matt Jeffery is going to get legitimate reps, can we PLEASE give him a proper WR number?
80, 81, 82 and 83 are unused. It was already weird watching Matt Salerno play receiver for a us a few years back, but the #29 just made it extra jarring.
23 is a general go-to playmaker number, like 21 or 25. Those shall pass. This is Golden Tate slander
It’s an elite RB number23 is a general go-to playmaker number, like 21 or 25. Those shall pass.
33 really doesn't mesh the same way.
Yes, but he pulled his groin doing so...YAAYYYYY!!! WE MADE A FIELD GOAL!!!!!!

With all the respect in the world to Al Washington, I'm fully confident that the DT product this year is going to be excellent. Charlie Partridge holds that much of a high regard in my book. The offense could fall short of expectations and end up being mediocre, at least for the first few games. But there is no world where this defense isn't very, very good, very, very quickly. There are just too many pieces. It would be a failure of epic proportions.
Our weaknesses on defenses would have been considered perfectly acceptable in other years. Only the DTs, the second corner position, and the nickel have the potential to underwhelm. But in each of those cases (1) the floor isn't that low, and (2) the DC can very easily compensate with excellent LBs, excellent safeties, super-athletic DEs, and the best corner in the country.
I just can't worry about the defense at all.
.
It might be enough.YAAYYYYY!!! WE MADE A FIELD GOAL!!!!!!
