Rubio should be back, barring any strangeness. I don't think Onye is even in the program at this point.

They can still win 9-10 games, he's better than any QB that played this year by large amounts. He will have a good ground game and they've recruited exceptionally well with high end talent at key positions.
So right now going into next year your starters are Hinish and Rubio. With Selvanio and Armem backing up. That’s tough. Hinish should be a backup. And if 1-2 guys go down then your left with 2 bodies hardly any experience. I think you want 6 guys who can play. Need 1 stud starter and one starter/backup

Just an update on some stuff Merckxe has put out:
Currently have 4 guys signed but not announced. Right now the situation is fluid on what happens at QB and DE. (DE might get an addition once they get more info on Botelho). 2 DTs are in the fold. I would guess there is a safety and maybe another pure CB in the fold as well.
Re QB: we’ve spoken to 4; Ewers is the only confirmed one. Context clues on why else he’s said makes me think Klubnik is another target. There’s speculation Milroe is one of the other targets as well.

The thread on Arkansas 247 board had a lot saying I thought he should have played more.
His one productive game in 2023 Pittman basically challenged the TE room as like a clean slate that week and he won the job and produced. Then went back to nothing.
It seems like he should be able to catch the ball. Not very good blocker. Question will be effort. I wonder if that makes him more of a Colzie/Thomas replacement than true TE. Either way I doubt he plays much or is expected to unless a major switch flips.

Ewers, Milroe, Klubnik would all be home run signings all 3 are championship level QB’s. If we got 4 guys signed 2 at DT I’m curious who the other 2 spots are for? I wouldn’t think we would need another safety or corner with the talented Freshman coming in but maybe they plan on moving a guy like Golden or Zackery to WR to start?! A guy to start at safety across from Shuler would be ideal

I’m still a bit skeptical as to how much of an insider he is, but we will see shortly if the info he’s sharing will come to fruition.
Freeman does seem like a control freak on info leaking to the boards, so I hope this doesn’t end up being a temporary wellspring of information. I know for a fact Chad Bowden has someone on the recruiting team monitor the boards regularly.

It's hard to know what we might need without knowing what we might lose. I like to think we'll escape portal season with our list of 2025 contributors unscathed, but given what's going on elsewhere it's hard to be super confident in that. Maybe the staff knows of a few guys who are planning to test the market and have already lined up their replacements.
