Sampson has said we will be more open to transfers that aren't grads or freshman. Especially for ACC and Big Ten schools

I reached out to my BIL about this as his brother works in the NCSU Athletics Department. Word is that Conception and his family were supposed to meet with the NC State Collective group today or tomorrow but the family cancelled. Kansas State has been mentioned as possibility. All scuttlebutt so take it for what it’s worth.

Would like to see Thomas and Colzie hang in there. We are losing several WRs this year with Mitchell, Collins and Harris moving on. Colzie has out on some size and maybe another 5 pounds would suit him. Still think he can be a usable WR for us.

Would be surprised. Scott got some burn for Miami this year and both are expected to be contributors/starters next season.

It wasn't, according to how sampson and the II guys framed the conversation. They alluded to some ongoing discussions between the athletic office and college presidents as "evolving".

We'll discover where we're at shortly by who they target and who visits. If the college presidents/admissions give here, we're about to level the playing field even more, imo.

I'd much rather see this evolution than any hs academic one. Results are much more immediate.

We won’t really know what ND needs until after the playoffs, right? Because we will be losing a bunch of our own players to the portal / draft.

QB: ND will likely lose 1-2 guys to the portal. Likely need to add a backup.

RB: I imagine ND is going to need to spend big to keep Love and Price. I also hope they don’t lose Young or Williams to the portal.

WR: Likely a full rebuild at this position. You’ll keep Faison and Greathouse and maybe some of the freshmen. Whatever happened to Cam Williams? Probably want to try to spend big on 2-3 proven guys.

TE: Don’t think you need to make a move here unless there are some surprise leavers.

OL: I think we lose a lot of guys to the portal but again if we keep the top ~8 there is tons of depth.

DL: This is going to be the most difficult position to add impact players from the portal. DE seems fine but probably need 2 DTs if you can find quality guys.

LB: I think it remains to be seen how many players you need if any, but I also wouldn’t be shocked to see some key pieces hit the portal looking for money and a full time starting role.

DB: Probably need 2 depth guys, maybe a key player to start opposite Shuler if you can find one.

So the shopping list is likely 5-10 guys with emphasis on DT and WR.
