Forfeited picks: San Francisco 5th Rounder, accounting bullshit.

Minority hire compensation picks: San Francisco and LA Rams get a 3rd round each.

Jordan Reid doesn't need to wait to get mocked in a the ESPN.com+ insider special.

To guess is human, to mock is divine.

Players to keep on your radar from the mockage:

13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame*

Trading Carlton Davis III to the Lions left a hole at cornerback for Tampa Bay. Morrison is a ball hawk with nine interceptions over the past two seasons, and he broke up 13 passes in 2023 alone, tied for eighth most in the FBS. A true press-man perimeter defender, Morrison has very good footwork, but his grabby nature when matching patterns will need coaching.

15. Patrick Payton, EDGE, Florida State
20. Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M
29. Ashton Gillotte, EDGE, Louisville

Not only do Falcons spend a ton on a QB, not only do they draft his replacement just weeks after… but they lose a draft pick for dealing with Kirk Cousins. Can you manage a team any worse?

Pretty quiet on the draft front for the Irish this year, but draftdaddy Mel dropping us a little hot board update on the ESPN.com Exclusives section is better than nothing.

Kiper Be Boardin

Overall #24: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame: Morrison has extremely sound technique in the way he covers opposing receivers. He's really good in press coverage and gets his hands on the ball before it arrives to the receiver. The ball skills are impressive. Morrison had nine interceptions and 17 pass breakups over his first two seasons. But his 2024 season is over after suffering a hip injury.

TE:
#6 Mitchell Evans

CB:
#3 Benjamin Morrison

Safety:
#4 Xavier Watts

Annnnd thats it!

Some dude named Matt Miller also did an espn.com *EXCLUSIVE* mock draftage.

Mocking Face

#22: Washington Commanders - Benjamin Morrison. Has him as the number two corner on the board, which ain't bad.

Looking forward to seeing how he grades on in Pre Draft on and off field activities.

He was basically the BGSU offense. You knew he was getting the ball and still put up incredibly stupid numbers for anyone let alone a tight end with nobody else around him.

Evans really needs to come back IMO, He looks so much less athletic than he did last year pre-injury. Right now I feel like he’s a fourth round pick type, But has upside to the second with a good fifth year senior year.

I also will not be surprised if BenMo Slips out of the first. With his injury and size, I’m not sure if he’s going to be able to play outside in the NFL. Is someone really going to spend A first on a slot corner?

I think this is incredibly generous. There are probably a dozen tight ends ahead of him, depending on who declares, and he might not be among the first 200 picks where we sit right now. Just last night alone Gadsden (Syracuse) and Stowers (Vanderbilt) showed they're both pretty far ahead of Evans at this point.

The draft will start to reveal itself more in the months ahead, but I'm heavily inclined to agree with you that Evans come back based on a football decision alone. Even then, him getting up to second round status in 2026 might be a stretch.

He'd almost certainly have to attend the combine and bang out a very good pro day to get to the fourth round in this draft.

Can Evans come back another year?
That would be the go if he can.

Patriots won a meaningless game and screwed themselves out of the #1 pick. But, still might work out in their favour. Titans clinched #1 pick and need a QB. Hunter could still fall into their lap at #2.

Matt Miller from the espn.com exclusive team has pushed out a delicious two round mockage for us this week.

Matt Mocks

#46 Atlanta Falcons: Benjamin Morrison
Provides a reliable partner to AJ Terrell and had first round grades pre-injury.

While the great one at the espn.com has updated his Big Board.

Kiper Keeps it Real

QB: Just missed - Riley Leonard (so like #11)

TE: #8 - Mitchell Evans

Off ball linebacker: Just missed - Jack Kiser (maybe #13)

CB: #3 Benjamin Morrison

Safety: #4 - Xavier Watts

Buzz is mounting on Tyler Shough, QB3 talk. I’ve expected this to happen since the ND game. Age and injury history don’t deny clear talent when any scout turns on the ND game. You’ll never guess what is the second throw here:

Pretty incredible we played that game with a injured Morrison, Moore in first start and just learned Gray and Mickey would be out

Is Burnham number 34? Pretty sure he lit Slough up on that play right after he released the ball.

During Draft season I feel some type of validation when ND opponents like Shough or West prove undervalued till now

Shough is 25, gimme a break.

He's "burning up the boards" because the rest of the QB class is utter garbage.

He’s broken multiple bones which theoretically, not a doctor, shouldn’t be the concern of a multiple torn ACL or other injuries type guy.

I think he absolutely can be a long career backup or starter in right situation. I mean Aidan O’Connell and Desmond Ridder had real NFL chances given to them

I do agree with that. I've just seen quite a few posts from draft twitterati talking about how he's a hidden gem and the real QB1, which is a joke. I think he played 1 full year out of 7.
