Anyone figure out the super secret recruit that’s visiting yet?
didnt Loy say the recruit was due to arrive on campus on Friday, which obviously means he does not have a HS game scheduled tonight. There's your starting point lol

So who is the secret visitor?

My guess based on Loy saying he's a SEC commit is that it's NiTareon Tuggle from South Bend. But I have no clue who it actually is, it just makes sense to me with little info we have.

Someone else had it as a big ole NT committed to UGA. It was in a thread somewhere.

As someone from Nappanee I keep telling people Tuggle isn’t going to ND. I’m not sure he was ever that interested and it sounds like it’d be a stretch academically to get in.

FWIW, Loy wrote an article saying that Tuggle would flip if ND ever offered and gave him the green light. He said his sources were very confident of that.

Nelson won’t be revealed until he’s on his way to campus. Loy seems optimistic and keeps telling people to be patient.

Closing with Nelson and retaining the rest gets the class to 279 in the composite. That would be the highest rated class in over a decade. Not really many spots to fill for visits other than a big DT

Thanks. We couldn't get a single 2024 uncommitted? Very disappointing. No Nelson? No mystery DL? No true surprises?

There is a total of three offers out to uncommitted 2024 recruits, Ryan Wingo (0 shot), Bradley Shaw (ND got KVA), and Grant Brix (ND didn't make serious traction here + filled up). There are only 21 uncommitted total recruits in the top 300. We will know about Carter Nelson this weekend one way or the other.

realistically if you are Nelson then you aint decommitting from nebraska now and then having 3/4 months of being a pariah in a smalltown full of Husker fans. Literally you'd want to decommit then hit the airport to wherever you are heading instead to play ball

That's not true. You're arbitrary crossing offers off because we can't get them to visit. Beasley, Justin Scott, DL committed to Georgia. All top of the board guys who had real ND interest.

If you're going to cross off everyone "likely not coming to ND", the context will always sound like you are spinning it.

We have arguably the best HC recruiter in the country. Arguably the best recruiting coordinator. Our final, meaningful home game on prime time. And they can't get *one* elite and/or otherwise committee target to visit?

Woof.

I didn't arbitrarily cross offers off. You said uncommitted. Just using your words. The fact is there are very few recruits remaining with ND offers, and the ones without ND offers ain't visiting without one this late in the game. Sucks that they're probably not getting any flips, but we will not know if a potential flip is visiting until they're on campus.

*uncommitted to ND* is what I meant, apologies if that wasn't clear.

I would say we don’t have the best recruiting head coach nor recruiting coordinator. So you are wrong there.

But not making any traction with another Qb or Wr is crazy. I bet we have at least one WR transfer. So then you are in the same exact situation you are this year.

Same with QB if you bring in a transfer you probably loss a Qb.

Please help me understand the need for another QB as it relates to recruiting. Is Carr for 24 and Knight for 25 not enough? You want to double up in one of those years?

If you’re talking about a transfer then please differentiate in your post. That’s not recruiting which is what is being discussed. You even alluded to it in the opening statement of your post.

Good lord we have some negative Nancy’s on this board.

Take Cure and Flanigan. Two RKG super athletic TEs. Wright/Kmet 2.0? Koyack/Niklas 3.0?

Hope those offensive recruits are tying their shoes every time ND has the ball.

Angeli probably realizes he isn't going to play at the next level and a degree from ND is worth more then just a shot at a starting job on a group of five team.
Drew Pyne and Tyler Buchner gave up ND degrees to ride the bench and get Dollar General diplomas, so I’m swearing off assuming what goes through QBs heads anymore.
