Speaking of not saying anything. Freeman's spring practice kickoff presser. Dude just rambling on about nothing related to questions half the time and almost all of it sounded like corporate HR bullshit.

That's what I thought. I figured they'd keep Alt at LT for the bowl since that's where he was most comfortable and Fish was a beast (He was the 2nd highest graded offensive player after Styles in the bowl). Figured after the bowl they'd switch Alt and Fisher. You'd think you'd want your best tackle on the blind side, but I trust Harry. There must be other reasons he's keeping them where they are.
Its quite possible they DO have the best tackle on the blindside. Considering starting the season as a 4th string tackle and getting limited reps, Alt had a MONSTER freshman year. If he ends up in the 320-330 range i mean, we could end up with bookend tackles both being top 10 picks a few years down the road. I also wouldnt be surprised if Alt moves a little better than Fish, even though Fish is really athletic and nimble for his size. Either way, its a great problem to have for sure.

Alt is phenomenal, I'm so glad he stepped up, but Fish still ended up being the highest graded OL player in the bowl. That was after only playing half a game all season. He's just a freak, amazing talent. It's definitely a good problem to have when you've got 2 amazing tackles as freshmen, that just really doesn't happen (Unless your OL coach hasn't been doing his job developing and stocking talent).

Alt - Kristofic - Correll - Lugg - Fisher

Notes that Buchner heated up late in the session, made a couple tight window TD passes, 1 in the redzone to Mayer, 1 downfield to Bauman, and made the single best throw of the day, a 30 yard out to Wilkins. Showcased good anticipation. Also noted that Pyne had "a couple nice TD passes" and a rushing TD.

According to Tyler James, they came out with:

Mills - Cross - Lacey - Foskey with Lacey being the NT. Would slide to Justin A - Mills - Cross - Foskey at times.

(Jayson A) - Cross - Ford
Lacey - Rubio & Onye. I assume Cross is really 2NT though.

That’s exactly how I would have drawn it up. Cross I think will play a lot of football behind Jayson A and Lacey but technically a “backup” when you print it out. Good to see Mills at DE come to fruition.

Things that stood out to me after initial reports:

Foskey and Ademilola dominated Fish and Alt more than once. And both tackles look great.

Bothello was getting whipped all over the place by multiple different guys.

Buchner looked good, especially at the end of practice. Had a couple of "holy shit" passes right on the money that dazzled. No mention of head shaking bad passes.

Estime looks like a stud, wrecking fools.

Basically everything I've read on the QBs is that Buchner had a bit of a tough start followed by brilliance, and Pyne was overall solid. And that Buchner was clearly separating himself from the pack.

On the secondary, big nuggets were it was Mickey at #2 CB to Lewis and Riley #2 Nickel to Bracy. Thought Mickey might line up at Nickel.

Other notable was S appears to be dividing as Griffith and Joseph to the Boundary and Brown and Henderson to the Field.

Bothelho report is disappointing. Any views/opinions on why?

Will be interesting to hear the next Inside the Garage, as Ratigan was involved in 1 of 3 scuffles haha.

Mickey and Ratigan apparently squared up a bit only for Ratigan to make a highlight catch on Mickey on the final play of the day, and let Mickey know about it with a flip of the ball. Mickey also had words with Lenzy at one point

Fisher held back against some of the DL.

Brown leveled Lorenzo Styles that reportedly nervously silenced everyone until Lorenzo got back up find, wind knocked out. Brown apparently repeatedly tried to apologize and Lorenzo was much interested in that.

It sounds like Bertrand got beat an uncomfortable amount. Like oh man this is tough to watch amount. He’s dealing with the wrist but apparently one unnamed media member joked does the wrist impact his running

I don’t find this surprising at all.

Carmody working as 2nd team C, essentially, it's 3rd team C once Patterson comes back. Reasonably surprised if Carmody is removed from the 3rd OT competition when it's Baker and Caleb Johnson competing for it right now.

I would hope that there is enough comfort with Carmody at LT or RT that they are just cross-training him at C… that’s my hope at least as I see him as an asset if and when injuries occur on the starting line this year
