I’m very happy,... I think the browns are among the winners here. Great value

Doesn’t feel like the new Browns are trying to be the smartest guys in the room and reach for guys 2 rounds early like previous staffs before Dorsey.

7th pick of 4th Round, 112 overall

Julian Love by comparison last year;
6th pick of 4th Round, 108 overall

Congrats to Troy, thought he had a chance to go higher than Julian with his measurables. Hope we get another corner drafted in the next 3-4 years.

Pretty happy with the Colts draft so far. Eason in the 4th is a good pick. If he doesn't pan out, well he's a 4th rounder so not much is expected really. Plus he's big and has a strong arm. Hopefully he can learn from Rivers for a couple of years. Very happy with Pittman and Taylor.

Blackmon was a bit of a head scratcher though. Not that he's a bad player, just seems like he went extremely high for a guy rated as a potential 6th rounder.

Obviously his ACL injury hampered the process since he’s only four months out of surgery, but if he can get back to where he was pre-injury, he could be a really good player. He was fantastic for Utah last year.

I think I would have liked Claypool over Pittman, but there might be a bit of bias there.

I like the Eason pick up. If he can learn, he's got the tools.

So who do we have left in the draft? Finke, Elliot, and Gilman? Am I missing anyone?

Well those 3 and technically Asmar Bilal and Jamir Jones also.

Only one I see getting drafted is Gilman.

Thank you. I knew I had to be forgetting a couple others.

I agree, I think Gilman gets drafted, but I think they all are picked up in free agency even if just temporarily.

Great news for him. The Chargers love them some Golden Domers. And he’s close to home.

That should probably do it for Notre Dame draftees. Total of 6 drafted.

Eliot, Jamie Jones, Finke and Asmar Bilal are still out there. But I doubt any are drafted, but all will get picked up as UDFA. Well maybe one of them gets drafted.

I know Elliot bombed his 40 at the combine but I’m really surprised a team didn’t take a flier on him after what he showed at the Senior Bowl. On the field folks thought he could play corner. After the combine, they thought he was too slow to be a S. It’s gotta be somewhere in between.

Charlie Heck to the Texans.

Shame on you HH & shame on BK, Denbrock and Mike Sanford too.

Look who they offered at OT in 2015: (They got nobody for OT)

Terry Jillery - Depending on which story you hear, when was he off HH's board and on Gilmore's?

Martez Ivey - Florida - Started 40+ games but ended at LG - UFA in '19 - Out of football

Jake Fruhmorgen - Clemson/Baylor - moved to OC - Will be an UFA at best this year.

Reno Rosene - Duke/Western Illinois - disappeared after the 2018 season at WIU

Chance Hall - Tennessee - Started 13 G during Fr/So seasons. Played in 8 games afterwards - out of football after '18.

Mike Arnold - VT - Went to Prep School instead - FSU - started at OG in '18 then just twice in '19 - listed as back up RG for '20.

Besides that, they offered 6 OG's landing Trevor Ruhland (Who did his job at ND for a 3*/87/Top 500/6-3 OG/C)

And I'll also add... what a ragged, motley crew those other OG's were.

And of course the star of the class = Tristen Hoge

He bounced for whatever reasons and got a 6th year from the NCAA when he did. He's been the starting RG for BYU the past two seasons, expected to be again in '20.

What an absolute FAILURE of a class. They could have paid me $100 in Kitty Kat Klub gift certificates and I would have signed Charlie Heck and:

Matt McCann 3* OT/G from Bishop Chatard (yes, the school that produced the Martins... of course HH didn't know where that was becuase he didn't recruit the Martins) Anyways, McCann went on to start 45+ games at Purdue.

Jared Thomas 3* from Indy Cathedral. Went to Northwestern and started 5 games at LT before beconing the starting OC and Captain his last two seasons.

Danny Pinter from down the street at SB Adams/Ball St I might have been able to get him on as a PWO even.

They all have a great shot at being drafted and just imagine how good they would have been if they had better coaching/facilities/yada yada yada.

If I couldn't have landed ONE of those guys to provide quality depth, I'd have stopped in Downers Grove on the way to see Ruhland and signed a 6-7/250 TE that Wisconsin saw an OT in. I hope Quinn never misses a prospect like David Edwards or worse, Jason Spriggs from next door in Elkhart. At least I know he's done that before with Joe Staley and Kelce boys.

Maybe he should start working on George Takacs right now...

All the above stuff was just venting at He whose name cannot be questioned except for Charlie Heck. Shame on the powers that be for not offering him... and his brother too. He only started every game over 4 years at UNC.

Someone unplug my mic.

Yeah. And unfortunately there was no PTO day to amend for the horrific 40 at the combine. He ran a 4.8 and it’s not like it was one bad run, like maybe he slipped, both of his runs were in the 4.8’s.

I recall reading that he did have a good week at senior bowl as you did. Mainly his coverage underneath on TE’s and also running down the seem with TE’s. But I don’t ever recall reading an article that some thought he could play corner. Personally I saw nothing on the tape that would scream he could play corner. I always thought his best spot would be SS in the league. And I thought he would run a better time than Gilman and run a 4.6. Turns out I had them backwards.

Basically without a proday he wasn’t able to over come not one but two attempts at a 40 yard dash both in the 4.8.

He had a private pro day though. Ran a 4.54 and 4.56 there.

I hear that. Unfortunately it wasn’t live in front of NFL scouts and their stop watches. You know how NFL scouts like to go to every proday in person and the combine and use the same stop watch. Has to be the exact same stop watch lol.
