It's no secret Drake Metcalf has ND at the top of his board. He's gonna be the starting LT on the nation's pre-season #1 team, St John Bosco. He's currently a bit on the short side at 6-3/270 but he's got time to grow and he's bigger than Mustipher was at the same point of his career.

He camped at the Lineman's Challenge last month and claims he won 23/24 reps.

Not sure how recruiting will shake out for pure OG/C prospects this cycle after ND got their OC of the future in Correll this cycle and at least one, maybe two OG's in Olmstead and Carroll (though both are swing OT/G's). Luke Wypler got an early offer in '20 and he's also 6-3. Peter Skoronski from Maine South has an offer. He's a 6-4 OL that plays LT for his HS that projects inside too. Will their be a spot for Metcalf in the future? We'll see.

Also important to note: 4.1 GPA.

This will be interesting to follow until NSD. Young's not your usual SC pro passer, he's 5-11 Dual Threat, he's coming in right after JT Daniels. He's also in the same class as the nation's #1 QB, DJ Uagalelei who's a heavy SC lean and plays for bitter rival St John Bosco. Whatever happens, I hope it ends with bitter prospects all hating SC.

^^^The article on 247 also said his dad went to UCLA and that was his dream school and where he thought he'd end up.

I don't see that he has an offer from them so who knows how that will go if they do.

Will be interesting to see how UCLA does this year with Chip Kelly's offense as I'm sure it will look appealing to dual threats.

Glad he was able to meet Brian Kelly, Chip Long, Brian Polian, Jeff Quinn, and Todd Lyght. Sounds like some red carpet treatment for a kid who is super talented. Hopefully he gets back on campus for a game or one more time before using an OV in the spring. Hope ND is able to win this

Nice film on D. Quick feet and good hands. Plus you know he's getting better everyday in practice lining up across from Olmstead. Definitely one to follow.

From Mr. Sinclair at 247. most of htese guys we have touched on except WR Brenden Rice. Friend of Cole Luke and has great film. Definitely a possession receiver. Has good body control, good hands, and he can block. Not what I would call a burner but he has really long strides.

They are Mazi Smith and Logan Brown's teammates and have visited 3-4 times.

Their S/C - Asst Coach is the guy who has ND gear on all the time in pictures. It's a shame HH didn't offer Logan Brown. Sucks the #1 OT said no to both Michigan schools for Wiscy, not ND.
