Anyone have a breakdown by position of what ND is taking for 2020? Or reference a thread?

I think NDMIA may have attempted a forecast but it's pure folly at this point. Maybe he can find the post and quote it here. If not it may be on a Facebook Group I frequent and maybe could swipe it.

I was going to finish up my 2020 Big Board tomorrow on my day off. I'm not gonna guess as to the class size right now but simply look at my favorite 5-10 players at each position that ND should target.

Perfect. I was just curious of the numbers. Saw a scholarship chart from OFD this week and was curious.

Hoping ND really hits these schools below hard in 2020. Seems like they can get multiple guys from these schools and have recruited St John's and Providence decent in the past.

St John's College DC
• Mekhail Sherman -WDE
• Rakim Jarrett - WR
• Luke Hill - CB
• Tre Williams – DT
• Greg Hudgins - WDE
Eastside Catholic WA
• Gee Scott – WR
• Sam Adams – RB
• DJ Rogers – TE
• Ayden Hector – CB
Providence Day School NC
• Jacolbe Cowan – SDE
• Porter rooks – WR
• Kedrick Bingley-Jones – SDE

No doubt they are.

I wish they'd make a run at SJC's 2019 DB Quinten Johnson. He's a monster and completely underrated two way player.

At Eastside you can drop Rogers and Hector but add 2021 DE JT Tuimoloa who's I'd say is a Top 10 defensive player right now.

As far as PDS, that's on Okwonu to close his shorties.

Already 220 pounds, per his 247 profile. Wouldn't be surprised if he's a Rover or even a DE in college.

Interesting development with Josh Fryar out of Indy.

Performed well at an FSU camp last week and told their 247 guy if FSU offers, he's committing.
His Dad is friends with former IU OL/OC and now FSU OL Coach Greg Frey.

He instantly went from UR to a 3*/88 and the #2 player in IN behind only 4* DT Cole Brevard. He did measure in at 6-5/285 which is a significant bump over his listing last winter.

I did have him ranked pretty high up the Fit List but the optics of going from UR to #2 is pretty questionable.

<strike>He should continue to get plenty of exposure because he's blocking for Carson Steele who could rewrite the Indiana record books.</strike> (wrong school)

Will be interesting to see if ND gets involved. Kearney started following him recently.

I don't remember the last time Beech Grove had a football player worthy of D1 consideration. Small school SE Indy. I only live 10 minutes away and my work is even closer. They play in a small school conference. Competition isn't the best, but isn't bad compared to other small school conferences. I believe Speedway (ring a bell? lol) is in the same conference.

I'm glad you commented on this because it made me realize he's not at Center Grove with Carson Steele. Why would you name a school Center Grove in Greenwood when it's 5 minutes away from the town of Beech Grove? Confusing.

Good job #1

So we now have more offensive weapons in the 2020 class than the 2019 class. . . in July. I know it will change but that's crazy.

I know recruiting is shifting but these kids haven’t even started senior year. We’ll be fine. On another note our class for 2020 already has a 94 average. This could finally be that dynamite class we’ve been waiting for.

Just got the scholarship breakdown from Driskell this morning on Rivals. Below is his opinion what the numbers for 2020 would look like:

He is thinking anywhere from 22-28, including a Long Snapper or Kicker. I think his OL at 4 is a little high and I think WR should be closer to 3 or 4 not 2 or 3.

QB 1
RB 1-2
WR 2-3
TE 2
OL 3-4
DT 2
DE 3
LB 3
CB 2-3
Safety 2
Specialist 1-2

It's farther than that, but yes lol. About a 25-30 minute drive (15+ miles).
I don't recall ever seeing a kid close to that size at Beech Grove during my HS FB days.

He may be thinking we are going to take a few more WRs in 19. I think the only 80+% accurate number at this point is 1 at QB lol. 2020 is a long way away.
